Hippo
@mbucchia 's quad views dynamic foveated rendering is a fantastic enhancement for getting extra performance in VR. Unfortunately, the foveated region can sometimes be seen distinctly from the peripheral region, as if it has a slightly different shading, somewhat taking away from its effectiveness. According to the developer this should be fixable by ED. Please could someone take a look into this? The issue can be seen in the images. A square with what appears to be a light grey outline in the centre of the 1st image. A fairly distinctive square around the sun in the 2nd. Cythkato
I'm experiencing this in my left eye, as if the outer lower res area is a little darker than the inner square, which makes the border of the square more noticeable. This doesn't seem to occur or be noticeable in my right eye.

dinodna
Same! Was hoping for a solution, but now see it's in ED's court to fix. OP has posted a great example of it. Quad Views is so close to being awesome for us, I really hope ED can spend a little bit of time to fix it!
speed-of-heat
I might as well add another plus 1, i got this effect really badly at night landing on the carrier @BIGNEWY is this something that can be done "quickly" (TM... other things may take precedence) 2 SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware Intel Corei7-12700KF @ 5.1/5.3p & 3.8e GHz, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Dell S2716DG, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted February 6 ED Team Share Posted February 6 Our team have access to a PIMAX Crystal and we know we need to do some more work on quad views, I can not say when however as our VR team are very busy currently on current tasks. I will highlight quad views to the team again however. thank you 8 4 Forum rules - DCS Crashing? GWdope
+1, fixed foveated rendering with G2. Also the size of the square changes with the render area size.
PawlaczGMD
+1, in Pimax Crystal, the central foveated region boundary is often visible, because it seems to have a different brightness/shading. It would be great to get this fixed, as Quad is pretty much obligatory to run DCS in these high res headsets.

Qcumber
I only see a visible square with snow for some reason. The biggest issue for me is with landscape shadows which flicker between high and low res areas. 5800x3d: rtx4070: 64Gb 3200: 1Tb NVME: Pico 4: Rift S: Quest Pro
