Could someone tell me if it's possible to have a hot or cold start of the OH-6 on the float barge (pontoon) that comes in the VAP somehow?

Absolutely.  We do it all the time in "Into The Jungle".  I think you may need to select start from ground.

I seem to be having a problem downloading the DCS OH6A Zip file from Github, there seems to be a 1Gb limit on file downloads as I get the following error every time that I try and download the ZIP file ( The download stops and I get "Check Internet Connection" message) This happend for both the OH-6a as well as the A4 zip files both of which are over 1Gb in size.

Does anyone know of any other sites that these files can be downloaded from?

Check your internet settings; you might have a limit set. I downloaded OH-6 and the rest two days ago without any problems.

Thanks Raffi,

I checked my internet settings  - nothing there that could cause limiting in any way - I even reached out to my ISP  - seeing as I am on an unlimited data plan - and they confirmed that there are no limitations in place for my account. Could latency be causing Github to drop the connection for some reason? I can't see that it would as the downloads all fail at roughly 0.9 Gb

I am in Australia, although that shoudn't have any bearing on the issue!

I was facing similar issues with another download. Each time the dowlaod volume reached a certain limit, it stopped. I tried even larger downloads from other sources and had no issues.

Then I just copied the download link from the browser - Opera in my case - to another download app JDownLoader - and it worked at 1st attempt.

I suggest to retry the download with another browser or another download app.

The devil is a squirrel.

System: HP Z2 Tower, Win11 24H2, i9-14900K, 64GB RAM, 8TB SSD (M2) + 18TB HDD (Sata), GeForce RTX4070 TI Super 16GB VRAM, Samsung Odyssey 57" curved monitor (main screen) + BenQ 32" UW3270 (secondary screen), VKB Gunfighter Ultimate MK4 + S-TECS Throttle

DCS: All terrains, allmost all modules, most user flyable mods - CA, WWII Assets

Yeah I believe it works the same way as ships. So I think its "start from parking hot" or "cold", and then you will be able to choose the park number on the barge. Its a really cool addition in DCS. You might want to make the barges indestructible if you're in an area which is getting shelled though, because I think once it gets damaged too much the helicopter just falls through the floor. Its a really great addition, the first time I tried it there were seagulls flying around and it sort of makes you feel like you're on a pirate ship 😂
