Promo, trailer videos and such...great stuff! Feel free to watch over and over again as many of us have.  

However as noted above it has not been released just yet.

Last time I checked, HB was still in a crunch preparing a RC build. So that one goes to ED first, and if they approve it shortly after we will get our hands on it.

No, you're misinterpreting it, the only release date given is still winter 23/24. (Until end of March)

As my attempt at a clarfication tries to say is that what Cobra meant is that the team is busy finishing off certain features to show those features off. He's not talking about the module in it's entirety. You can't just read "this week" and skip all the rest!

Haha when was the Belsimtek F-4E first announced? 2016/2017? Our character must be built up to the moon by now!

I won't lie.  The Belsimtek Phantom was a heart breaker.  I've waited for a decent Phantom combat simulation since Chuck Yeager's Air Combat Simulator.  Knowing that it is so close now, it's a combination of enthusiasm, frustration, anxiety and hopium.

I guess with this length of time waiting for something like the F-4E to happen, the naval bird really isn't that far off either.  A handful of years.

I remember when i started i was going throught the modules and was dumbfounded there wasn't a Phantom II. Now we're only a few weeks away, dcs ist about to grow up!

Try this approach: through all the other modules DCS was able to grow a foundation worthy of the Phantom. If we had it earlier it might not have been as phabulous as it will be in 2 weeks (TM)

Both of these posts perfectly frame how I feel as well. In terms of things I could buy, I could not have been more excited for anything else ever and when BST canceled it it really was a massive disappointment. But to have the game and technology progress to this point and then have HB pick it up is incredible and will undoubtedly bring one of the most detailed modules ever made. I feel lucky to be around with DCS in such an advanced state compared to back then.

Strike Fighters had some great warlike atmosphere. And really nice, moody music.
