Nuckerball Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 honestly why did heatblur even bother suggesting april as a release month. We all knew it would be the "worst case scenario" may. 3

Hawke81 Posted April 24, 2024 Posted April 24, 2024 I meant outside of the normal 6 week patch cycle. 1

I guess you mean that the patch that introduces a new module doesn't have to conform to the six week window, yeah? You weren't suggesting that they could do the release without releasing a patch. I hope you're correct that they are prepared to vary the window. I'd hope ED are aware of the updated timeline for the F-4E, so if the patch schedule would prevent that timeline being met I hope they would have informed HB and we would have heard about it before now, along with a newly revised ETA. Please note however that hope is not a strategic position. 1 Modules: [A-10C] [AJS 37] [AV8B N/A] [F-5E] [F-14] [F-15E] [F-16] [F/A-18C] [FC3] [Ka-50] [M-2000C] [Mig-21 bis] [Afghanistan] [Cold War: Germany] [Iraq] [Kola] [NTTR] [PG] [SC] Intel i9-14900KF, Nvidia GTX 4080, Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master X 64GB DDR5 @ 6400 MHz, SteelSeries Apex Pro, Asus ROG Gladius 3, VKB Gunfighter 3 w/ F-14 grip, VKB STECS throttle, Thrustmaster MFD Cougars x2, MFG Crosswind, DSD Flight Series button controller, XK-24, Meta Quest 3

Dallenbach Posted April 24, 2024 Posted April 24, 2024 If the module is ready for release, it would be commercially pointless to wait for the next patch day. 2

Even if they're just updated files, and won't affect the sim in any other way. It's just the same as installing a user made campaign, and copying it into the core. That said, I have no idea how intricate the file submission system ED has employed for third parties and DLC creators. We do know sometimes schedules are missed though.
