Ive been wanting to see it closed for a whole month now. Skip back a few more posts and you'll see, its no big secret. We've gone from time bomb conspiracies to....this...and all it has done is push more and more conspiracies. Aint nobody changing their positions now; either its ED's fault or its Razbam's fault. Where's this thread going? What good is it producing? Its 99% useless conjecture, some of which I fell for. You tell me: A) what here has changed your opinion on anything, and B) what good has come of it?

Comments are to bring people together, not push people apart.

When there's NOTHING constructive, and members are going round and round in circles, then the threads pointless. It was quiet ovet the weekend, and as the mods have noted and noticed as I'm sure others have, there's a few members who are intent on fanning the flames, and offer nothing more than opinions.

Patience isn't a virtue with a few posters here, this situation will be lucky to be resolved before the end of the 3rd quarter, it's pretty obvious that there's a lot more to this situation, than what people believe, and want to believe, and hearsay and speculations and opinions matter not, legal representation will deal with cold hard facts.

Just seems a little... incongruous, that the same people who participate freely and often also want to deny others the right to participate at all. The simple solution is for those who do not enjoy the thread to simply not participate in the thread. 

 

There are threads I do not enjoy, therefore I do not participate in them. What I do not do is spend my time participating in them only to insist that the thread be closed and no one have the opportunity to enjoy it.

It's not just about keeping the lights on for the F-15E.  It's about having the original team continuing to work on the module.  I'm not saying ED doesn't have its share of talented devs but how realistic is to expect them to take effective ownership of a complex module like the E?  Especially one that has the contributions of one of the best radar developers out there right now.

Who said Im denying peoples rights to participate? I see a pointless thread going nowhere and the same people bringing up the same conspiracies, the same back and forth and its not doing anyone a bit of good...including YOU and ME. If you wish to continue on with the charades (and thats what it is now) have at it. Its ALL YOURS. Keys to your kingdom, sir.

We (or at least I) have no real idea what will happen with the original team.  I’m sure there are all kinds of discussions and negotiations behind the scenes that we are not privy to, so it seems premature to speculate on that. Regardless, it seems strange to blame ED for the original dev team members walking away from Razbam (if they indeed have). I’m sure ED has its hands full enough dealing with its own personnel problems without worrying about the personnel issues of a contractor

But if the plane doesn't degrade from the state it's in now at least, it's still a great module and a ton of fun.

I agree with you. At first I was upset that I couldn't get a refund for the F15E(Steam), then I just left it in the hangar for a long time, but the other day I decided to go back and I'm convinced again - it's an awesome module. The only thing I don't like is the epilepsy in the pilot and the visors that visually don't close. I've seen that there are laser issues with rearming, but haven't encountered any myself. Overall, I've stopped blaming ED/RB, searching for the truth or predicting what will happen next, I just enjoy flying this airplane. 

Even if it breaks tomorrow and is abandoned, I won't forget this beautiful module.

I'm 100% with Beirut because this thread is needed for people who really want to discuss this topic. No matter of OT conversations, rumors or conspiracies. It is as it is - a pretty serious situation for lot's of users and many people are worried about some of their most favorite modules which makes this thread even more important because people want - or maybe even need to talk about that.
On the other side i absolutely agree with Hammer1-1 because this thread is useless if you want some information. It's just full of opinions, rumors and people are floating into off topic conversions again and again about legal stuff or the meaning of different words or other things....
For me personally it's always a bit annoying when i see that there is a new post here, open this thread and hoping there are some official news just to read some more BS.
But closing this thread would also be useless because as soon as this thread is closed someone would open a new one.

What i would like to have is as sepperate and closed thread with all the informations about the situation (just like the first post in this thread) where only the mods can write if there are some official news and keep this thread open for all the discussions, cleaned by the mods from time to time like they do it already now. That might be helpfull for all who want to ignore this thread but don't want to miss any new official information.

I'm afraid I just don't see the necessity of closing a thread because some don't enjoy it, when the fastest, simplest, most logical answer to their dilemma is to simply not participate in the thread.
