Very easy, RB does not see any way to resolve this dispute in the near future and they also don't want ED to keep collecting the money without paying them. So the chances of a resolution are shrinking once again. 

By the time RB gets back, if ever, the modules will be unfinished, maybe broken and old compared to the newer modules in DCS. It's still possible to have fun with the modules right now, but unfortunately they will likely not have a very long future. It's unlikely RB would spend the already lost year of development on those old, already sold modules instead of working on something new.

Sorry, but from my understanding, it is not so clear. On one side, RAZBAM is ordering ED to shut down its modules from sales. ED is fulfilling this. On the other hand, one of the RAZBAM modules is in some ecosystem and can be purchased because its development is continuing by another team. 

I`m a little bit confused, but  I`m happy that my favourite map will be developing.  Any chance for an ecosystem for F-15E?

I understand you're confused. Just accept that it is not developed by Razbam, it's actually "the same" team that develops Kola. (And then you might think about why Kola is not published by Razbam. )

Maybe I'm misunderstanding this, so NineLine or anyone else, feel free to correct me, but this kind of reads like a statement saying they aren't going to be able to find common ground for the way ED wants their developers to work. 

If Razbam isn't sharing their source code, and never will, I don't see how there's ever an agreement to be struck between the two. Without the source code, ED is in a place where they are entirely stuck hoping a developer never folds or runs into any issues that causes them to suddenly uproot and leave the DCS ecosystem, which isn't realistic. Unless I'm completely misunderstanding the way ED wants to work with third parties, this would make it really difficult, if not impossible, for ED to be able to work on modules and keep them updated and improved as the game itself grows and improves in terms of flight models, FLIR modeling, whatever it might be. 

Bit of a bummer if that is indeed the case. The Harrier's always been a favorite of mine, and it sucks to think it might just have to slowly age out over time and might eventually reach a state where it's just too outdated to have fun flying.

I can't speak to the meaning of their statements over the past few days, but we remain focused on a solution and are hopeful to resolve it. Even in their statements, they state they are working towards this goal as well. So I appreciate the confusion in messaging, but as far as I am concerned, we are still marching on the same path towards the same goal.

Though instead of modules for DCS, I think I just may go with the take-out from here on out.

I wasn't sure if I was misunderstanding what they meant by not sharing their source code, and if that potentially ran opposed to the way you guys work now (Post VEAO at least) where the ED Devs need access to source code to allow them to jump in and at least improve things in a Developer for whatever reason is no longer able to. 

I'm glad to hear the work continues! Here's hoping everything comes together in the near future.

Agreed, the Mig-19 will be my first DCS purchase when this is hopefully resolved. Until then I continue to keep my wallet closed!

Well said.  I don't think the lost money is going to break anyone here.  On the other hand, losing these unique modules which really are works of art is a huge bummer.  I'm still hanging on to my Strike Eagle and hoping for the best.

It's not.  ED has alleged that Razbam used ED's intellectual property (IP) on an unrelated project without their permission.

As someone who has purchased damn near everything ED has on the store page, to include all of Razbam's modules, when (and not if at this point), when all of Razbam's modules go to being unplayable what then? 4 aircraft at full price is not cheap in this game what the hell am I going to do with $200+ of store credit!? Assuming we get refunded for anything at all besides the F-15E.

That is a huge bummer, the MiG-19 is a lot of fun. I want this resolved ASAP even moreso simply because the MiG-19 is wonderful 'beater' of a fighter aircraft and should be experienced. I have a lot of questions about its FM and some of its systems need a once over, but it's still a pleasure to throw around in DCS.

I've made my feeling on RB clear, but I'd still recommend it without hesitation.
