The free-flight instant-action are designed as 'micro-missions' on every map I tested so far, which is a fine way to introduce the plane and Jester. That's a nice touch.

Minor gripes with Jester:

- After landing at Nellis, Jester repeated his very same landing commentary he just made (the same audio file triggered twice in a row);
- After jettisoning the chute and turning towards the parking area, Jester said: "All right let's go flying". We just had a 1-hour flight my friend  

Major thumbs up with Jester: his aerial refuelling commentary. This, and the stability of the entire platform made my first Phantom IFR one of (if not the) easiest I have ever done, and this is saying something since I'm usually not that good with boom refuelling.

quite probably my fav fixed wing aircraft of all time.   Just spent last 2 hrs flying her, circuits and umps, even tried dive tossing.   Beautiful just beautiful.  Very very well done.

Great job once again HeatBlur on an excellent module. I am enjoying it and I especially like the depth this module brings with so many features modeled. You have raised the bar for others to try to follow. It will surely make DCS better.

Congratulations with the release. I tried some high AoA "manoeuvrer" here, anything that is not console, panel shakes, even the chair, ejection cables and the seatbelts! Just when I thought stuttering in F-14 was scary. Simply another level...

2 issues here.

1. No rain drop on the cockpit. TF-51D has no problem on the same mission.
2. Somehow, starting on the runway, the trim goes all the way nose down at the start. May be the mission setting thing.
3. One more thing, the grease pen does not work well in VR, probably the engine limit, the drawing area is stuck in the front blocked by the HUD and cockpit frame.

The stab has a bellows in the trim system that causes that. It’s normal.

To the HB team!!, just a few minutes in, and I cant believe my eyes with this absolute work of art, just WOW!, the amount of atention to detail is uterly imsane, the quality and variety of features of the product stands way above anything to date and the looks of the beauty are clearly made, not only by true artists, but extremely talented and passionate people that have no problems walking many extra mails to bring our loved sim to new highs. Agree on the "Dark" Theme of the Cockpit. Reminds me of the same situation when the Mirage F1 Came out.  Turning on all the cockpit lights and will play with Gamma, and time of day etc...

The F-4E really is beautiful! 

Going to try and set a custom keybind for the Speedbrake using On - Else Off logic so I can use the Slider switch on the X56 Throttle.

Had a short play of three hours with the f4and decided to put it in the back of the closet:
- jester menu takes up half my screen and still managed to drop off my screen, so not only can I not see half the cockpit, I can also not operate half the jester menu. You’d think they make the menu fall within the screen size…
- checklist (in training) takes up another half of the 32” 4K monitor, thus leaving me with a 1”sq to see the cockpit.

- neither the checklist nor the jester menu can be resized in-game
- jester menu call up is not named like that in the control setupmenu (seem sto be common to name something what it is not called in real life), so took me some time to google the right control. (Hint, it’s not called “jester menu”).
- controls are in the way of themselves, so you cannot see half the controls, or manipulate them, because you end up manipulating the control in front of it. For example, I cannot see the ignition switches associated with the levers, thus I can only change the levers Formosa to idle, but cannot select the ignition switches.
- you can’t use a single throttle hotas, despite the binding existing for it, as startup requires you to move individual throttles whilst holding a hidden start button depressed. This action also means you cannot do it by mouse.  Couldn’t find an auto start option, so I can’t fly it until I have a dual throttle control, and I’m not gonna buy one for the f4 alone.
- there’s a million versions. I spend hours setting up controls for WSO (which I have no clue what that means), only to find that there is a non WSO version as well. No idea which to choose. Oh and in the trainings and missions they are not called that, so no idea if in a training I have a WSO or non WSO version.

- the control settings between WSO and non WSO are different. For example, the WSO version doesn’t have controls for Landing gear and flaps, whereas the non WSO version doesn’t have antenna elevation or radar range controls. So automatically this becomes confusing the same hardware needs to be set up differently for the same aircraft.

Overall impressions I think it has the makings of being a fantastic module, however at this moment in time I’m finding it’s not running so well in VR. However the Tomcat was the same at first and over time and with a bit of optimising it now runs fine. So I have hopes some improvements can come there. I love the way the aeroplane feels and flys, feels like a aeroplane in flight, she is difficult to manoeuvre in a fight, but I just need to adapt. I love the way the suspension compresses etc the external model and cockpit is a step up from the tomcat I would say.

Agree the cockpit texture needs time to optimise, it is a bit slow to load now. But after loaded, it seems fine for free flight...

One thing I really love is how immersive the new Jester call-outs are. While I was playing, I was Mav and Jester was Goose. LOVE THIS.
