I asked for the refund and got the money in my internal account in 12 days. I'd be very happy if I could buy the module again when the problems be solved.

Since you will then pay more than you originally did, this is also a good thing for Razbam 😄 (unless you haven't pre-ordered)

Then why not just keep it?

I think it's obvious, do you read the changelogs?

Yes, they've just fixed the radar

Do you work for Razbam? There were no patch or new features since February, except for the radar fix.

No I dont work for them, but i certainly commend them for the the F-15 plus fixs and updates they did for free. I know I would never work for free

I'm not going to continue with this discussion, because it is not my intention you undestand my viewpoint. Are you sure they worked for free? In any discussion between two parts it is needed to listen at both parts. I don't know the details of the dispute between ED and Razbam, but I certainly didn't get the module for free. I had paid $56 for a product that has been abandoned since February and there is no near-term prospect of development resuming. If at any time the situation changes, I will be happy to buy it again.

I paid the same price. The difference is I still fly the Eagle and you don't.

Yes and ED happily took and kept your money, imo. I like this plane to much to give up on it👍

EARLY .
ACCESS .

Years ago (2000 - 2010ish), it was called BETA testing, paid no money (free). Most games, ready for BETA testing, had wait list for Beta Testers to sign up for. The Beta testers knew it was not a finished product, they were helping the developers find bugs while testing\playing a new game.
Companies figured out how to make money from BETA testers, they label it as EARLY ACCESS nowadays.

I'm not complaining, just stating what I've seen transpire in the 30+ years that I've been computer gaming.

While the plane has been unattended for a while, and definitely needs some love, it's still a great module as is. Big, fat, and fast, with that exceptionally groovy radar for A2G targeting and TFR. It's a beast!

I understand your frustration, and I share it to a degree, but as long as I can fly an F-15E, I will fly an F-15E. I want my flying fun and the SE is a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, that is wrong. In a BETA test, a quasi-finished game (usually feature complete) is tested before release to find bugs or, for example, to test the balance in shooters. A game in Early Access is at a much earlier stage. It is therefore wrong to compare the current trend towards Early Access with a BETA test.
I agree with you that many companies can make money this way. Big brands may not even need to do this, but smaller studios can hardly finance themselves any other way today, as the expectations of a game are much higher today than they used to be and therefore the development costs are no longer comparable to 20+ years ago.

that was a different age, sort of like how the 90s-2000 was a different age.

Some people like to get what they paid for - an unfinished module pretty much abandoned since April with no signs of resolution AND the possibility it will never get the planned updates and expansions doesn’t cut it for many people.

I didn’t feel like entering the conversation, but here’s my take. I had the eagle and had it refunded. I’m still on the fence whether it was the right call, and I might end up buying it again sooner than later. I actually miss it sometimes. It was fun to fly and very capable in combat.

I’m lazy so I missed the datalink the hornet and viper have, obviously a skill issue, but it made me less effective in crowded environments. Still, many regrets.

I need a couple of drinks and I’ll buy it again 😅

I’d definitely hold off on buying again until the situation is resolved and someone is actually working on it again. It’s a long way from being finished and if it ends abandoned sooner or later a DCS update will stop it working all together.

This is what’s holding me back. I’d like to see a changelog with actual updates being done, and I’ll buy it back on the spot.

ED is actively trying to avoid this.

Few months ago my plan was to keep completing F-14 campaigns before I go Eagle way but as things with Raz got hot I started flying more SE and its missions and man, what a great module it is (as is), and rarely I notice any bugs. Pity there are no good campaigns for it. Even went MP for a frag.
