Mainstay Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 (edited) I havent forgot the B-1B Lancer situation from last year. Quote @NineLine "Posted November 20, 2023 Dear all, a follow-up to the above response. The 3D models are not broken and released as intended. The different quality levels advertised in the DCS newsletter will be presented as a part of the new ED product. Please wait for the news to follow." So whats the deal here? Any news on this? AKULA_OPTIMUS Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 (edited) Theres a lot of models, vehicles and aircraft, that are shown in DCS promotional pictures and videos that have 3D models far more detailed that what they are in the game. It´s clear they have some kind of asset pack for better 3D models in the works. Thats fine by me, what I don´t like at all, is that they never say that those models used to advertise the sim, are not really in it Edited August 18, 2024 by AKULA_OPTIMUS 11
Mainstay Posted August 21, 2024 Author Posted August 21, 2024 Only one that can clear this up is ED.... So whats the situation? 2
Stratos Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 Been thinking about that lately, so an update would be nice. 2 I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
Willie Nelson Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 (edited) Where to start, there are so many items on ED’s list that were announced or hinted at literally years ago that are still in the pipeline. Don’t get me wrong I love DCS and am a massive fan boy but they’re some way behind expectations. I’m not talking modules, plenty of those in recent times and they’re generally great, I’m talking all the features such as Vulkan, Dynamic Campaign, AI GFM, etc. Around twoish years ago things seemed to move a lot quicker than they do these days. I’m not going anywhere but that is more than a little frustrating. I’m probably not in good company but I wish sometimes that they would simply switch to a subscriber model and hire more staff and get the job(s) done. CommandT Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 I would really love to know even a little bit about the AI GFM - it's a little bit unfair to have previewed this and showcased it 2 years ago and then total silence. Even an update to say "guys, this was way more difficult than we thought and things aren't going well here" would be better than total silence, to keep us in the loop. I think honesty and transparency gains far more trust from consumers than constant "stand by for future updates" that never come. Same for the other promised features too... ground units AI, some kind of F-5 product that never materialised, supercarrier marshallers, ground crew AI and so on. @BIGNEWY Anything you could tell us at all, especially regarding the aircraft AI formation behaviour that's been in the works for so long? 3 1

Wing Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Very disappointed with the low res B52H as well. Figured by now there would have been the higher quality versions ingame as shown in ED teasers. 2 www.v303rdFighterGroup.com | v303 FG Discord

Willie Nelson Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 (edited) Not blaming @NineLine nut not much of a response from ED. There is obviously something going on with resourcing at ED, whether it be personnel, finances, staff experience, etc. These things happen in the real world, I wish they would talk about that. Hammer1-1 Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 (edited) Is this thing still low res?? Still not able to load a Sniper pylon onboard either and after all that hype...its literally not much better than the KC135 and can still count the polygons on the main landing gear and wheels. Its like the difference between the Burger King Whopper on the menu and the one you get in the wrapper. AKULA_OPTIMUS Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 The sniper pod is not yet modeled on DCS, but it will eventually arrive sooner or later, it´s been working on for a while now. The low res models still the same.
Wing Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 B-52H should also beable to load Sniper TGP ingame. Maybe someday... www.v303rdFighterGroup.com | v303 FG Discord
Mainstay Posted September 20, 2024 Author Posted September 20, 2024 Apparently they are holding some things back for whatever unknown reason future product thing....
