Su-25 refund on Steam?

So are you suggesting that at the point in time they decided they would make the Su-25A a free module they should have stopped bundling it in with new FC3 sales & made new purchasers (you) wait for release of the free module, or are you saying that if ED ever releases a previously payware module as freeware they should refund everyone who paid for it back to release data - or do you mean just back to the date you paid for it ?

Btw, Steam does not offer refunds when you played for 2h already and ED has no control over this.

Your logic is really incomprehensible. Imagine that the Hornet you paid for suddenly became free, wouldn't you be angry? The only difference is that the Su-25 is much cheaper.

You make a decision on buying something based on how you value the product. You pay - you get it and can play. You agreed to the terms so you know there's no refund. And still the Su-25 is not free.

Look, it happens in life. There are always funny stories on the forum when someone buys the product full price but then the 50% sale starts a minute later.

Just imagine how upset the pirates feel - the ones Wags said are stealing DCS Modules.  

DCS giving these Modules away will shut them down instantly and the new Encryption System can be put in the Abandonware section .

When the dev of VAICOM, a plugin for VoiceAttack that let's you speak the radio commands in DCS, decided to throw in the towel. He put the source code up for free on Github, and the development is continuing through the community. I'm very happy this happened, and I welcome all new users. I paid about 25 dollars, and used it for 3 years(?) before it became three. Imagine all money I spend on streaming each month...

I don't know if I'd be angry.  Maybe surprised is about it.  DCS is a relatively cheap hobby as far as hobbies go and I get a pretty good entertainment return for the money I spend.

For those who bought it individually and not as a part of the FC3 package, the value in ED miles refunded is reasonable, I think.

When was the purchase?

This week: Ouch². Try to get a refund, or at least contact support with the case of 'unfortunate timing'.
Last week: Ouch. Same as above.
~1 year ago: meh. You've probably already had enough fun in it to warrant the purchase. And if you like it, a new one is incoming 'yaaay...' (sucks, I know)

There isn't an completely smooth method of opening content for free to draw in more people and it is long overdue for DCS, BUT if this thing were announced before FC4 and FC4 not featuring it, it would be smoother.

I understand OP in the moral sense although, for me, it balances out on the new update and more players...
...but financially: This are pixel planes. Don't break the bank buying them, ever. If you like the sim, consider more of a contribution.

Reasonable? Why would they do this? It's like making another module free.

Both for me! I was so extremely annoyed that the FC modules were grouped together they way they were with a single icon and such, even made a wishlist item about it IIRC. So I got them individually too. Funny my wish was granted last year!

It is not free yet, and we cannot do refunds on Steam, you will need to contact them If you have over 2 hours on the game, either the Su-25 or other aircraft,t I do not think you can get a refund.
