Mad Dog 762 Posted May 21 Posted May 21 I am not that much of an air to air guy, I prefer the air to ground or multi-role platforms. Is the Mig 29 going to be much use for air to ground? What kind of air to ground weapons is it able to carry? From the first lines of the store page - Quote In addition to the R-73 and HMS, the MiG-29A is also armed with medium-range radar-guided missiles, a 30mm cannon, and unguided bombs and rockets. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/fulcrum/ i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
F-2 Posted May 21 Posted May 21 It’s got a lot of thrust for getting the hell out of dodge when things go bad which is nice for an attack platform. 1
PawlaczGMD Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Probably similar to the current FC3 module, so iron bombs and rockets delivered via HUD CCIP/CCRP.

I intend on shacking unguided ordnance primarily with this aircraft. Laser guided bombs get old very fast for me and any straight and level delivery is also boring after several drops ... Ramius007 Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Actully FF version wil make a2g in a Fulcrum quite interesting, especially dealing with 3 only waypoints and navigation system as a whole, but is definitely capable of penetrating air defence to some degree with flares and just sheer speed. I wonder if we get mining ability in DCS at some point, becouse it was what KMGU was build for, and would add some mission variety to Mig
Silver_Dragon Posted May 21 Posted May 21 https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/fulcrum/Mig-29A has only capable to dump bomb and rockets. The ED module has none guided ordenance.Enviado desde mi CPH2197 mediante Tapatalk For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF

Correct, nether I or the ED store quote I made say the MiG-29A carries guided A2G weapons "the [DCS] MiG-29A is also armed with ... a 30mm cannon, and unguided bombs and rockets." 1 i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
AeriaGloria Posted May 21 Posted May 21 It is unknown if ED will give it S-5, but it won’t have S-13 or S-25. It will have all S-8 variants and S-24B for sure. Bombs and KMGU also. The CCIP/CCRP doesn’t correct for wind unless you pre designate the target and wait 2-8 seconds before firing, but you can also correct for target movement using this method. Unlike FC3, its AG mode will likely be limited to 5 km but it depends how ED models it. Pavlin_33 Posted Sunday at 05:12 PM Posted Sunday at 05:12 PM If modeled correctly max flight speed for S-8s should be M .8. They risk self firing due to heat effects, otherwise. i5-4690K CPU 3.50Ghz @ 4.10GHz; 32GB DDR3 1600MHz; GeForce GTX 1660 Super; LG IPS225@1920x1080; Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB; Windows 10 Pro
AeriaGloria Posted Sunday at 06:58 PM Posted Sunday at 06:58 PM I doubt such things will be modeled, I don’t think they ever have before. Very excited to try the pre designate for wind/movement correction. I wonder if ED will go the easy way of having pipper automatically adjust for wind for 2-8 seconds after pre designe, but that wouldn’t correct for movement unless they also applied something like the new Mi-24 sync mode. IRL when you pre designate it remembers where you did so and calculates where it would be depending on dive angle, speed, etc. Then compared to where your pipper is 2-8 seconds later, it does the wind/movement correction. Becuase it’s assuming when you fire you’re aiming at the same target you pre designated. And excited to see if they limit air to ground mode to 5 km, as I’ve read that’s as far as the HUD shows in the real thing. Read the other day the same software updates that added R-27Er also added S-5. So hopefully we get that HUD Dr for variety sake. A lot on how good it will be as a striker depends how accurate they make the nav system! Please give us atleast peaceable RSBN so it can have correction without its 4%/range inaccuracy!
