While re-learning the Su-33, I was able to retract the nose gear while on the ground:

Afair RuAF jets don't feature any mechanism to prevent it. They rely on the pilot's sanity.

It’s the great misunderstanding and assumption. Soviet jets just built different…..

What…. Why can I raise my gear on the ground?????

 

Ummm, better question is, why did you raise the gear lever on the ground???
