It's part of the simulation and immersion. I don't feel like flying empty RC drones - if you want to simulate that you'd have to disable 6DOF camera and comms. I would like to leave it on, but I always fly with it off. My reason is that the left arm and hand on the throttle obscures switches and dials on the left console that I need to access while flying. So I'm wondering how you avoid that problem flying with the pilot body turned on. 1 I'm Softball on Multiplayer. By mapping a toggle switch on your hotas to toggle the pilot body on/off, and by mapping stuff on your hotas (including control panels) that you need to manipulate during flight. 1 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON

In F-14 I just click through. In F-15E same but may have to heavily look around. No problem in MiG-29. May have to disable body for a second but it's very rare. Best $15 I ever spent on DCS. I haven't bought version 2 yet. Maybe today. 1 Some of the planes, but all of the maps!

I use it for all sims i play in vr(that other modern combat sim has fancy voice attack thing, similar to vaicom in dcs) i also use it in several other vr games. Just being able to call up menu with your voice is a lot of help. 3 i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
