59th_Reaper Posted January 20, 2014 Author Posted January 20, 2014 (edited) I think this question is very early, because the model is so far from the finished version and i can't say anything about the release date. We try to do our best and finish the project. That's all, what i can say yet. Edited January 20, 2014 by 59th_Reaper Two tails, two engines! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Airbuster Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 I really love all these small details, but isn't this just too much unnecessary precessing data? How much triangles is the model so far? Unwrapping this bird afterwards is going to be a nightmare...

Unwrapping this bird afterwards is going to be a nightmare... i dont think so not problem with good and numerous lod models i think in the future (in the next 1-2 years) 200-500k tris models wont be a problem with new graphic cards

Where you Export the High Polygon Model to a Normal Map which can be applied to a Lower Poly Model and make it look like the High Polygon model using the normal map. NRG-Vampire Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 i can imagine this 3 million tris model in dcsw this is the future: i guess we will see this in the next 3-5 years, however the most detailed lod and parts/details of the model will be visible only if camera goes very close to the model (0.5-1 meter) - like gear bays, engines or cockpit only - that's why lod models are very important http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=93978

NRG-Vampire Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) hey Rudel if you turn off the custom draw mode then you will get exactly the half num trgs and num objs - that's the normal visible tris in the sim. 204559 tris with the a-10c model, 187936 trgs with the f-15e model or something wrong on your side Edited February 1, 2014 by NRG-Vampire

Shinigami Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Are you planing on releasing the model for FC2 or FC3, cause I don't see me buying FC3 for now at lease. Few improvement over FC2. I'm waiting for separated modules like Su-27 or Mig-29. Shinigami Out... La guerra, asi como es madrastra de los cobardes, es madre de los valientes. Cervantes. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
