This is actually a really good example of what I posted.

 

This software was designed by a dev-team hired by the GB-government. They programmed the "game" and used it for training and advertising, much like the US-Army did with the Americas Army shooter. They released it to the public with the note, that you already payed for it - so it's even free to play.

 

This agreement, however, does not grant you the right to decompile, modify or copy the sourcecode. The devs or the government still holds the right on this and cracking the coding still is a crime.

 

Transfering back to the airplane-issue, this is much the same: You are allowed as a private owner to buy e.g. a Spitfire, if you find one available. But you are not allowed to copy the design and use the data to build your own 1:1 replica without permission, as this design is still owned by the Supermarine (or whoever has the rights now). Not for a real plane and not in a simulation, depending on how closely the company sticks to their rights.

F-111 is more of a bomber than a fighter,, hence, it's not a multirole..

it's a dinosour.. a flying gas tank that holds a big bomb..

it was very fast though... but not for turning..

FA-18E/F.... about as multirole as it gets.

 

Would also like the F-15E Strike Eagle.

 

The AV-8B would also be quite good particularly with the LHA Tarawa class helo carriers.

I would love to see an F-18 in the future for carrier opps. Super Hornet if possible, but probably not, because of classified reasons. I remember Janes ATF and doing many a mission were we would all have to land on the carrier after a long flight, intense!

Jaguar?

 

I have no doubt the Jaguar has been brought up many times before, but I (still) think it would be a nice addition to the DCS/LOCKON world. The time period is right, and it may be an easier low-level attack fighter to add versus the Tornado (though like many, I pine to see the Tornado back in action as a flyable). The Jaguar (Jag-waar, or Jag-U-ar, depending on your geographic upbringing ;) ) could be an excellent "counter-balance" to the flying tank. DCS, just see your faithful minions flying high speed attacks on the deck, canyon-running through hostile environs. Intoxicating! Someone start a poll to gage interest in the Jaguar!:D
