I just want some modern F-22 speculations.

Fixed for you. :pirate:

C'mon guys, even the 10 000 000 votes for the Raptor or JSF won't help change the situation with their secrecy and even in 2020-2025, Falcon, Hornet and Eagle will continue to remain the main and the most distributed NATO/USAF fighters.

Crazy poll. Documentation secrecy on 3 planes of 4, and F-35 still being tested.:megalol:

This thread makes no sense, because not a way to determine the next plane.

T-50 looks cooler than the F22 I think.

Wonder how they can build a 5th Gen fighter with steam gauges??? << Kidding

I will take anything besides F/A-18 and F16.. Sorry, least favorite planes in the sky.

No love for the Tornado?
To be completely honest, no... For some reason Ive never liked the Tornado, and furthermore I think we have more than enough mud movers now with the Su-25 and the SU-25T in Flaming Cliffs and the A-10 in DCS. Dont get me wrong, Ill probably buy ever aircraft in the DCS series, even if the next one is a Tornado, but personally I hope its not ;)

Reheat!! :) I think the training mission would be worth the asking price for the tonka.... 600mph + at 60ft through the welsh vallies is sure to be a rush, id prefer the Harrier myself as i keep saying but would be over the moon with either.

Hmmm, I think you just persuaded me :P A Tornado would be cool as well ;)

I agree. SU-25, KA-50, A-10C, all mud movers. We need some air to air now in the mix!

Yes the Tonka is a mud mover. But...

It is a high-speed one. It's got variable swept wings. It's got an Air-to-Ground and Air-to-Air radar (!), with terrain following option. It's a two seater (multiplayer anyone?). It's a European designed aircraft. It looks badass. It can deploy some even more badass weaponry (eg, JP.233, MW-1 etc.) Would be a huge nod for DI's Tornado, one of the first truly hardcore sims. The notion of modelling it wouldn't be far-fetched - it has no uber (classified) technology like the others in the poll. Developers subtly hinting it's consideration (remember April fools screen made on March 31?)

Just my few cents... :music_whistling:

It's rather hard to deny the BadA$$ness of this plane.tornado20gr1.jpg

I only respond to that little mechanical voice that says "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up! Pull Up!"

..... it has no uber (classified) technology .....

And what would that be then????

I could ask my mate who works for BAe systems to name all the class stuff.. same goes for the Jag and Harrier.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I, personally, would love a Tornado.

Would't mind an Apache either.

Overall, I prefer ground-attack aircraft. Air to air seems like the same thing over and over again....i.e., boring.

Of course it was a bit rash to say that but I hope you agree on that getting neccessary information for the Tornado is way more viable than for the F-14 or the Superbug, right?

Of course we can still have a DCS: Cessna 172...

I hate you. Seriously...I'm not even kidding...

Holy damn, what size are those bombs on that tornado Avilator?

A6 and Tornado would be awesome for sure. A6 is all retired though I think. Except for maybe refueling.

they're not bombs, they're fuel tanks..

@Buren: I know but unless ED can presuade BAE it will never happen, plus the other companies as well.

But yeah a Tonka would be awesome.

Tornado IDS Rules  Please no more US Jets :music_whistling: A MiG29 or SU27 with full 6DOF and clickable Cockpit would be nice too.

I would say-

F-16 and F-14 for, the fan-boys, for multirole, intercept and carrier ops

Tonka and Jag for UK/GER/Itali and India/ Saudi for Ground pounding and intercept

Mig29 / SU27 for Opfor, again Multirole and intercept

but thats just me..

Is "Tonka" suppose to be a Tornado? What a stupid nickname. Must be a Brit thing.

Tornado is a good air-ground aircraft but I don't think it was particularly good at air-air.
