Hi Gus ya well after 4000 kilometers round trip and working the day after I got back my but and back are killing me.The shell is thick resin reinforced with wood. I have both sides off and both side consoles off the ejection seat rails are out. I have cleaned out probably 10 kilos of dirt. The paint still looks great . The stick and rudder pedals are connected to three large drum

Actuators Any electrical engineers out there looking for a challenge?

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

Thats the best base for a pit build I can think of!

As for the cleanup - I bet you could have gotten lots of volunteers from this board (including me). :smilewink:

By the way - those torque motors look like they could rip your arm out.

The motors in a Sidewinder FFB2 are tiny compared to these! :joystick:

The cylinder at the back is probably an encoder for position feedback.

Looking forward to see more of your build/restauration process.

Cheers,

DSP

It will be OK have a dram of Scotch and feel the warm glow.

Morning guys I stayed up a bit late last night Like Gus said I could not resist doing a a trial fit of the grip and panels after cleaning.

I finished up by removing some very rusty screws from the floor and cleaning under the ejection area.Wile the screws are drying I just had to do a few things.

Then cleaned a very rust grip nut.

I need to get some clear coat for it then well crap out came all of the panels I have, and well see for your self's. today is just a raking the yard day crap .

Btw congratulations on your find:beer:

lol, I was wondering how long it would take for the first measurement request to happen.

This is going to set a new benchmark for home pits when it's done.

Ya I know it will turn in to a gim me gim me fest but I figured I will answer this one it would have been nice if he had said please

That said any thing I post now should be considered copy right material. Any one starts using my picture to build parts for sale every thing comes down.

Now if some one wants exact measurements for a project person or business contact me and we will work out a deal

Yes quite but after all most 10 years of collecting different parts for the beast luckily the wife said just bye the dam thing

I hope she said "buy" not "bye". Both are plausible but different outcomes in this sort of hobby. *chuckle*

That measurement is exactly what I need, I can work from there

Thank you

P.s. I hope I have not opened the flood gates for request's lol
