TSSAA = Transparency Super-Sampling Anti-Aliasing

Improves the edges of objects with partially transparent textures ('billboarded' trees, airfield fences, radar lattice structures etc).

Can be quite expensive on framerate but looks great.

Refer:

http://developer.nvidia.com/object/transparency_aa.html

Note: HDR doesn't cause smearing in itself, it just preserves 'overbright' light values so that when they are later convoluted they are blurred a bit - rather than being clipped early and looking less realistic (your eyes introduce the blurring over overbright sources in real-life).

...

(...) (your eyes introduce the blurring over overbright sources in real-life).

Both mentioned AA settings were always present in nVidia CPL. In-game implementation is supposed to provide game developer's optimizations.

Exposure and bloom are processes that HDR comprises of. The bloom part is overdone for anyone who recognizes his family from within 5 meters. No one needs a word more on the HDR technicals. No-bloom HDR is achievable (ArmA 1).

You're comparing the screenshot model to the photo taken from a totally different angle with the pilot in an unusual position, you be serious.

Look at the 4th photo you posted, they're spot on, bar the pilot in the photo, who has slightly bigger shoulders - probably from flying a real aircraft rather than a computerised one!

LMAO? It looks almost perfect, dimensionally. Look at the height of the pilot in relation to the height of the seat.

That pilot model is far superior to anything we've seen before in any sim (and better even than in some 'games').

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Or just don't ride the brakes all the way down the runway. ;)

My apologies, Diveplane. I was at work and could not see your photo. I was able to read your text but there was no indication of a photo (our company blocks some photos and not others, except when a photo is blocked, there isn't even a red X). Judging from your pic, it does look pretty darn accurate.

Thank you for the picture!

I'm not use to toe brakes yet..

Still no pictures of combat damaged Hogs. Strange.

Ask and you shall receive.

Smoke trail, probably nothing major:

Someone stole my wing!

Home safe and sound:

The Damage model seems really simple right now, you either damage your engines, lose a wing, or burst into flames and explode.
