Dr_Arrow Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Correct me if i am mistaken but the SU25t in Flaming cliffs one suffered from "mach tuck" Yes, both Su-25 and Su-25/T suffer from this. If you are nearing the critical Mach number the plane starts to pitch down and you have to work to keep it flying straight.
Joe Kurr Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 This is design, not a flaw. Civilian traffic doesn't get in the way of game-units. You can blow them up, but they do not physically interact with the a-10 or ground veh's. I imagine it would be a mini-nightmare of traffic jams, ya know, the tank column stuck on a bridge with a delivery truck going the other way, and the AI is too polite to smoosh the civi's. This was something i noticed in BlackShark, same behavior here. The truck that hit me was civilian traffic. It hit the nose of my aircraft, pushing it back and out of the way. My plane was slightly damaged in the incident (hole in the nose), but the truck drove on like nothing happened. I'll see if I can reproduce this later. gazcrowbar Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 I landed on a road and seemed to get hit by vehicles, if I remember I only got hit when a vehicle came at the body of plane and not wings - but can't be sure.
Cp Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 You can land on civilian traffic (buses) with the ka-50 so I don't see why you shouldn't be able to collide with a buss with the a-10. Unless they changed it.

lobo Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 In the real A-10A manual, pg 1-35 describes the automatic rudder travel limit reduction which occurs at 240 KIAS. "at aircraft speeds above 240 KIAS, available rudder travel is automatically reduced from +-25 degrees to +-8 degrees." This occurs in the sim. Impressive! The USAF manual should be required reading! http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=56080 Lobo's DCS A-10C Normal Checklist & Quick Reference Handbook current version 8D available here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/172905/

What's this "take names" feeling you have?. Some sort of bureaucratic soft porn you would like to share with the rest of the world? Fighter Pilot Podcast.
DiabloSP Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I have noticed the gun rolling a bit on external views when gun mode is selected, don't know if it's arbitrary or happens when you depress the first trigger before firing, or some other reason. But it's a nice touch.

pyates2104 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 If you fly into a power cable, the cable sparks and there's a small explosion. I hasten to add.... I did this on purpose and don't normally fly into power cables.....

RustyNuts Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 The layout in the Nellis Statics Template is almost identical to the Google Earth image of Nellis. Good as any to see how they park the aircraft there. Google can't see the Delta Flyer though. They must have it cloaked ;-) Online as Hawk 5

Nate--IRL-- Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Hmm I have flown into the towers with no effect. That won't be a problem in the next beta, I stupidly decided to test this on a return from a successful mission. I don't know why it popped into my head, an hour into a mission, but it did and I can confirm they are now very solid. recoil17 Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 You can hear the boost pumps running when you flip the boost pump switches! "Simultaneous selection of fuel dump and afterburner during high AOA maneuvering may cause fuel to ignite with resulting fuselage damage."
andysim Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 if you try and start the engines before the APU is running at full speed it gets too much load and starts to wind down. Im going to do some more testing but I think it should get too much fuel and catch fire .
