Especially when using the twist rudder, my hand doesn't slip. Practical too, cos I don't have to clean my stick that often. Another reason is that the metal in the X65F as that cheap Chinese metal smell. You dont feel embarrased enough sitting there staring at dots on your monitor with the oversized joystick, trackir headset and mic (at least its no longer forehead dots) and rudder pedals that you feel the need to add gloves as well?? Definitely improved my precision and feel flying with a force sensing stick. With the HOTAS Warthog, however, I find I can be more precise without gloves since the stick moves and I have it center mounted. From the mid 90's to just a few years ago the USAF Thunderbirds were the only Air Force squadron approved to use leather deerskin gloves. Sadly, the vendor went out of business, and for the past few seasons they've used Nomex desert colored ones (I believe).
