S77th-konkussion Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 meh- good idea in principle- but I'd be fine w/ just legs (maybe animation of pedal operations) or skipping it. Especially arms- where they would be in the way of clicking switches.. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
MTFDarkEagle Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 ...in the way of clicking switches.. Such as? Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
S77th-konkussion Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 wouldn't the left arm pretty much obscure all the radios, etc? Not so much the right arm if it's on the stick.. Remember- not everyone has a warthog hotas. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
S77th-konkussion Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 I'm okay with the ghost pilot, but I hope they put limits on how far the view can rotate in one direction. Weird being able to look 270 degrees :D I'm not so sure.. Although not perfectly represented- I'd rather have this, as I think it might be tough to model a pilot twisting his torso/ lowering shoulders around to look over his shoulders.. DocSigma Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 I can liv without it. I always think of myself as flying the jet not a ghost. However, legs there to put clipboards with mission parameter notes and the like would be nice, but not at the expense of button occlusion. If anything just add a clipboard button switch to the F10 view window. Sarge55 Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 I really like that idea about a clipboard function to refer to. I have folder full of varous notes half of which are probably duplicates. I guess I could record them and file them according to the mission for the next time but that would be to much like work, eh. Hehe... good one Viper. I personally don't care if there is a 3D pilot represented, but I agree that having access to some clipboards/kneeboards would be great.
Steel Jaw Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 The clipboards would be most useful if the data displayed on them could be configured by the user. 1 "You see, IronHand is my thing" My specs: W10 Pro, I5/11600K o/c to 4800 @1.32v, 64 GB 3200 XML RAM, Red Dragon 7800XT/16GB, monitor: GIGABYTE M32QC 32" (31.5" Viewable) QHD 2560 x 1440 (2K) 165Hz.

Miro Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Strange feeling to fly empty cockpit. In BS my pilot is always on. I operate switches from memory. What a problem is Shift+P pilot on/off and Ctrl+P 3D Pilots arms on/off? (for people who can't pressing buttons);) :pilotfly:
sam777777 Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 clip boards would be cool, but i always have my own clip boards hanging next to me on the wall with checklist, manual (hardly used) and 2 pages of random black paper for target details (these i normally keep next to me at all times). Then on debrief i can flick through the pages and make sure i did everything right/ remember things i have done wrong. Hoping to apply this to the a10 once the game starts running again, beta 5 mebe? :music_whistling: <VAAF> Virtual Australian Air-Force :joystick::pilotfly:

Steel Jaw Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Oh I can muster the perfromance if need be...trouble is I just dont care anymore.
