6Gun Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 My Pit <--- Left side is back on after painting and light install. This weekend I get the foam for the back and do some more work on it. Making a door for the right side and a hood for the nose hopefully finished with those by sunday. Just wanted to say hi. I've been into flight sims since falcon 3.0 and mig29 back in the 80's. Currently I play aces HighII and waiting for my flaming cliffs cd's from amazon. wasserfall Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 My steun Perhaps i might pop in here too Because i needed a bigger screen i chose a 32Inch Led tv from Samsung that does the job perfectly A close up of the Hud, which i really like to have functioning, but as far as i know it's impossible in Fc2 i made it in such a way that i can upgrade it in the future (Fc3?) On this pic you can see the LOVP working, the waypoints on the "crt" are still pictures on a photo frame, i have several images from radar scope etc. Finally, an overview were you can see some of the frame i made, painted in yellow aircraft primer. The ejectionseat (k36d) is still without headrest and is in basic form, but all in time!! Hope you like it!! Deadman Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Great set your Warthog covers look great with the added patch:thumbup: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

KLR Rico Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Here's my setup... It's pretty much a craigslist budget build... $20 for the chair, the TV was free (it had a couple of blown out capacitors on the power supply board, fixed it for $10), I welded up the TV stand from thrown away bed frames, and I use freetrack. Since this picture was taken, I've added saitek pedals, 5.1 surround, and a shelf under the TV for the keyboard. i5-4670K@4.5GHz / 16 GB RAM / SSD / GTX1080 Rift CV1 / G-seat / modded FFB HOTAS

cheap charlie Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Ive noticed some of the set ups look fanatastic with good money being spent yet some of the good ones choose one screen and dont go for the wrap around 3 screen option. Im guessing its not about the money since screens arent that expensive, perhaps its the extra space but it would only be a few feet So why do some prefer 1 screen over 3
Turk10mm Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 for me, its mostly about space. other than that, 3 seems a bit too much. I have trackir that works just as good as 3 monitors imho. each their own. I will be getting a second touch screen monitor however for panels at some point. JorgeIII Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Sharing my virtual flying setup: AKA TANGO-117. DCS Modules: most of them, proficiency: only a few at a time. The most crucial aspect of a simulator is its realistic physics and precise aerodynamics, accurately reflecting all flight conditions.
JorgeIII Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) I had a few PMs asking for the charts of the second picture. Here is the link, great Gorund and VAD charts: http://www.boe117.com/foro/index.php?/topic/548-cartas-de-aproximacion-visual/ (It's on the first post). To feed 3 displays, aka 5600x1280 one must have solid video card. These are not cheap.
