I'm trying to change the helmet but i can't, I don't understand I've replaced the hgu55 file but the standart helmet still show up.

Some of you would be kind enough to share any tips on this ?

Cow, off the top of my head, I just placed the changed hgu55 file in the temptextures folder without making any other modifications to the original or a lua file, and my modified helmet shows up in the game.

Thanks a million for the skinning tutorial... behold my first attempt at skinning to create a western alternative to the shark mouth.

I call it my "steed" livery:

Another quick question:

How do i modify my description lua for my livery to include a custom helmet? i created a custom helmet but it shows up for all liveries when placed in temptextures.

You don't have to edit any of the lua files just place the new file in the temp textures folder and it should show your custom helmet.

but won't it then show that helmet for ALL A-10s regardless of the livery chosen for them in the ME? I'd like to associate specific helmets with specific skins if possible.

:O You've inspired me to practice Photoshop. :>

I have a photo-book with all those WW2 decals laying around somewhere, all the cartoons n stuff. I'll have to scan some of the old images from it and paint them on my P51. ;)

On the template, where is the inside ladder door?

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I wasn't kidding about the Desert Tan flight suit, I said I was gonna get one (stolen right from the strike eagle guys' S-4 - down the flight line):

For me the best since the arrival of DCS A-10C

Possible to share ?

Thx

Since they are converting the F-16's to dark grey like in this pic. I found out the other day that they may do the A-10's as well. (not sure how true this is however my source here at WPAFB knows his stuff, but still you all know how it is.)

Anyway here is my WIP. Still working on the panel lines etc..
