Which would you rather choose if you were offered only one module, and why? Sorry in advance if there are already threads like this. The search engine did not turn up any results that were in the first four pages.

Ka-50... first thing is difference in flying. You have to be more careful, have ability to use other tactic than only flying forward... :) Generally I like lawnmowers.

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

While I haven't bought the A-10 module, I'd say I choose the A-10(Arma 2 counts right?:smartass:) They'll never see me coming.

Please!!! The 2 models are worlds apart. No comparison at all. Also the question is irelevant because we can have both. So not ever compare any DCS title with the crap aircraft in Arma.

I started playin OFP in 2002 and bought a very expensive dedicated server last year for our online community when Arma2 expansions where released so feel I can comment.

I don't know why your post makes me see red, nicotine and caffeine withdrawl may have something to do with it but to compare 2 disimilar games is wrong IMHO:mad:

Tough one.

If I was new to this then I would probably have chosen the A-10C just because I'd have been a noob. And noob only flies Americans'. :D But knowing what I know now after having tried both, I'd definitely go with the Shark. I'm not sure if there will be a patch to update the graphics if you don't buy later modules and aside from the fact that the HUD needs some realism added, the ugly thing is such a joy to fly. The Shark is absolutely amazing in that realm. To me, nothing out today even comes close. Nothing. X-Plane included.

As for weapons, I'd say the A-10C has a lot more tricks and treats, but then again the ABRIS in the Shark is no chicken soup. if you're into that sort of thing. I am in this for the flying. The fighting, to me, is icing on the cake.

Not that the A-10C comes up short, but flying a helo is so much more rewarding and I don't really like helicopters. Go figure...

ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

They're two different airframes with two different roles.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

The Hog given the choice. Why? Because I'm a much better fixed wing pilot than chopper pilot, and I prefer western avionics/weapons systems.

Choose?

No.

Would wait until I could fly both.

Why?

One's a Flight SIM (A-10C) and the other is a 100% All-Terrain IFV (Kamov) SIM.

Sacriledge to even comprehend comparing :)

I will say the shark, as I prefer helos to anything with fixed wings, however I am partial to anythign with a ground attack radar.

Wait 10 years and their wont be any pilots flying the A10 :) as they have come up with an unpiloted version, so Combat Pilot Magazine says.

Hmm hard choice, A-10 speaks to me in english, and has the MAVS and 30mm, Shark makes me learn a new lang! But has unforgiving Rocket pods. Can we have both????in the same Mission, good combo!!! Cheers:pilotfly:

I'm going to have to choose the Shark. I love it's flight model and characteristics. It is an exremely complicated machine to fly correctly.

I prefer the hog's avianics and weapons systems for the same reason; accuracy and complication. But I push buttons and manipulate systems all day in my real job, so I'll take the shark and it's wonderful flight physics if I'm only allowed to choose one.
