mia389 Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 First it plays much smoother for me. Specially at the airfields. MP broadcast now works! We tested with 4 guys. LOVE IT Did the contrails get tweaked? They looked a bit better.
StrongHarm Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 I'm in love with the tweaks to the flight model. My hawg is powerful and responsive. It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

PlainSight Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 What about your loading times, i have to wait longer to get into a mission, but the framerate drop is very little if i have tgp and maverick displays shown on mfcds. That's very good. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
mia389 Posted April 5, 2011 Author Posted April 5, 2011 What about your loading times, i have to wait longer to get into a mission, but the framerate drop is very little if i have tgp and maverick displays shown on mfcds. That's very good. I noticed loading times have increased a bit. Tradoff I have seen has been well worth it
rextar Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Loading time is alot longer!!! Intel i5 3.2 ghz 8 GB crucial ram gtx 660 superclocked 2gb 500watt corsair psu win7 64bit extreme pro track ir5 Turtle beach x12
MotoX Racer Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 I'd much rather have a minute longer load time if that means the next hour or so of flight time is more stable 2 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
andysim Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 (edited) well im happy so far with the patch hehe. Ive not had time to test it properly (its only been out a few hours!!) but I did manage to refuel the full amount from 3000 to 10200lbs with just 1 Disconnet!! (first time ive been able to stay on the boom) Framerate is better, and the stutters are much reduced. I posted the refueling track just incase you wanted to see, PS its a bit slow at the start as I was watching the F16s take off so fast forward about 5 mins. The tanker takes damage at the final transfer so they did not fix that yet =) Edited April 5, 2011 by andysim
Bulletstop Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 How did I miss that the patch was released. Great job ED. Bullet I7 4790K running at 4390 with a gigabyte board with 16 gigs of ram with an Asus gtx 660-ti and 2 tb of hard drive space on 2 wd hard drives. A X-65F Hotas with trackir4 and pro combat peddles. A kick butt home built machine unfortunately running a windows 7 OS.
rextar Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 O agree bout loading times its running alot smoother..... Right gonner have a go at refueling ps is there a mission for mid air refueling? PlainSight Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 I've also noticed very smooth panning with trackIR. Sitting on a ramp, just looking around is SMOOOOOTH. Before, i got shutters, like the textures weren't loaded up. If that's a tradeoff for longer loading times, then so be it, it's MUCH better  [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
GGTharos Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 They weren't, and that is the trade-off. ;) Before, i got shutters, like the textures weren't loaded up. Mustang Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Pre-caching FTW, can't wait for this patch to finish downloading :)
Kaiza Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Wow, huge change log for such a short release time, nice one ED. Interesting to see so many bugs I have never heard anyone complain about. Great work. Kenan Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 For me, the Mission Editor lag is still there but noticably improved and makes mission making a lot more enjoyable. I also seem to be getting better framerates but haven't really tested it with FRAPS. As for the loading times, everything seems to be ok. to me, all in all, nice job on the patch! ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commanding Officer of: 2nd Company 1st financial guard battalion "Mrcine" See our squads here and our .
