@Nate, as per page 6 last post, a nvidia user had the same issue.

Anyway, i started a topic in the AMD Game Forum, i found a existing Warthog thread over there, discussing XFire caps of Warthog..

 

 

 

@YoYo, lol, no...i just painted a white square in windows paint ;). But it looks pretty much like the real thing, doesn't it ?

Did fresh install of 11.3 CCC, everything is ok, but "white flash" I see again. Any idea to solve this problem?

I havent this in 1.1.0.6 and before with too same drivers and too same GPU/CPU.

Did test of temperature of GPU - max it was 61 C. so it isnt artefacts.

I have same problem but with green colored boxes or circles..

Could be something related to GPU because with my gtx 295 I get these but not with gtx 460

I would like some type of confirmation or update on this issue from ED. When can we expect this to be solved? It's really annoying. I can wait but some feedback is needed to feed our patience :)

Thanks to Mustang for pointing me to this thread. I'm joing the club as I just finished a new build (see my sig) and I have the same problem with 11.3 drivers. I don't want to run the sim with HDR off either so I'll live with it until a fix is found.

I just started to get this issue. Prior to trying to update drivers to 11.4, (using 11.2), HDR off . CCC A.I. Enabled, I never saw the white "flash" boxes.

 

In trying to improve my framerate in eyefinity, I tried updating to 11.4 (resulted in "packaged failed install within CCC install manager + install causing BSOD), I updated to 11.3 instead. I also followed numerous tweaking threads: (disable Catalyst A.I. set maxfps:30 in grph.cfg, etc),

 

I then turned on HDR, MSAA, used Radeon Pro to further tweak optimizations, I got about =<5fps boost (coming from avg 15 -20fps eyefinity. it did improve some stuttering), then I noticed the flashing white boxes described here.

 

When the HDR is off, this anomaly is gone. My apologies if this is already noted.

 

Does this happen with anyone that does not have a 6xxx AMD / ATI card?

Yep, it only happens with HDR enabled, so it probably could be solved in further patches. No feedback from ED on this one, though.

I'm planning on doing a couple of comparisons to get a good idea of what the differences are with HDR on and off. When I looked at the rising sun on my way to work, DCS comes much closer to the real thing with HDR off.

 

So with a bit of luck I'll actually play with HDR off without missing out on too much. I sure won't miss the white flashes :)

It seems only for 6600 series and I been experiencing the issue with 6950. Anyway, plan on test it later on and report back.

Sapphire Radeon 6850 with 11.2 drivers, HDR on. No flickering or flashing boxes here...

Just to summarize a little, these are the scores now:

 

AMD/ATI:

10 users with 6950/6970 have the issue

2 users with 6850/6870 don't have the issue

3 users with 5770/5870 don't have the issue

 

It seems we can narrow the problem here to 69xx cards.

 

NVIDIA:

 

2 users with GTX295 have the issue

 

UNKNOWN:

 

The following users reported the issue but cannot find their gpu info:
