I have it switched on and use TiR, but I have no clue what it does. I never notice my head move, other than when I move it with the Tir.

I personally don't like the way it throws your head side to side in a hard roll. What I use it for is when you roll the wings it keeps your head aligned with the horizon. You can do this with TrackIR but I find it awkward.

Not only that but it's lot cooler to do all those funky head moves by yourself (keeps you in shape). That's how I fly every time I fire up my virtual A10. And, when I get shot down I just throw myself off the chair.

:lol:

And how do you simulate parachute? :music_whistling:

I have it off.

I found this here during the early beta, and I stuck it in my A10 file, so I can't really give credit to the op.

This is how you adjust how much the head rolls.

"view.lua>

head_roll_shaking = true

head_roll_shaking_max = 30.0

head_roll_shaking_compensation_gain = 0.3

roll_shaking_max is the amount it moves, while the gain controls the speed in which the view rolls."

I don't have G force enabled right now, and i don't remember the exact settings I had during the first beta, but I do remember I turned them down and liked it much more. I may have to play around with this again ..

OFF

I don't like it simply because it isn't natural when you don't undergo the forces you see. In reality your brain compensates your view for your headroll, in game it does not so it's creating an unnatural feeling for me.

I turn it off.

I used to run it with an edited value to tone it down a bit but I just don't like it; it's too lazy. It takes too long to settle after a turn and you're always wondering whether the aircraft is flying true.

I do like head movement in flight-sims but not this.

I love it. I think it really enhances the immersion level. If you watch any A-10 in flight cockpit vids those pilots heads are really effected by G as would be expected. I use track ir to. G on all the way.

Man up you head wobblers!
