As one of the 8in Lilliput screens I use behind my MFDs has gone "t*ts up", I'm thinking of getting a 22 inch screen to go in the center of the Dash.

Would this push the MFDs far enough to the edges to appear more correct to an A10 dash (as the current MFD cutouts place them over the edges of a 17inch monitor) or should I be looking at a 24inch screen to get correct(er) spacing?

*EDIT

just seen the dash diagram with sizes in mm, so 24.8425 inches to fit the center screen in and push the MFDs as far apart as possible, 24in (diag 24in) screen would seem to fit perfectly

Really nice work and pit ida

Simpel and really usefully.

I we can found the simple way to make change for the front panel (in and out) we can just make it for more airplanes/heli models then just mfcd on .

I mean to make a front panel to each airplane and use the screen behind for all the interments

Hey guys a couple of quick questions...

I've been going back and forth weather to build a true A-10 pit or the Jedi pit. As of now, the Jedi pit is winning out. I find myself flying the F15 more often, the F-14 is coming soon, I'm still holding out hope for a DCS F-16 (...SEAD in an A-10 gets hairy as an ape sometimes...) and once ED completes Nevada and EDGE who knows what they have up their sleeves...so I'm gonna go with a nice clean generic seat with common "functions" like gear handles, master switches etc.

However, I'm going to make a few changes.

First, I am planning to build Flim's ACES II seat and use it with this pit. I know the backrest for this pit is a seperate part...what about the lower portion of the seat? Can it be removed without seriously compromising the structural integrity or is it a matter of omitting a few parts to make my evil plan work? (

Also, I found a place close by that does CNC Work for 80.00 an hour. For those that have had the parts CNC'd, approximately how long did it take?

Thanks in Advance,

Gary

Hi Gary (Sierra99)

$80 an hour sounds expensive especially if a cash rate. I've paid $50 an hour for a local boat builders foreman.

It's a local business. Compared to some of the horror stories I've seen in here it seemed reasonable enough if the machine is fast. (More an hour...less hours actually used.) also, no "set up fees" if I bring in .dwf files the setup is free. And fee estimates for how long it will take.

Oh wow, that upholstery nail is cockpit greeble gold! I've got to remember that.

Has anyone by chance created a PDF of just the seat (or is there one like it out there)? I really like how easy it looks to build, comparatively of course.

Also, thanks to Psyrixx, I've just discovered wood transfer paper. That's a game changer for those of us without CNC access!

Ill try to place it back into DraftSight, and seems even if i Change to MM, its 28,956 I am assuming you guys maybe rescaled them 0.0393701:1 ? to get correct size. or what program you guys using. Sorry for asking so much,
