Actively scan and target individual vehicles. Cannot comment on the degree of randomness as I have not paid close attention to that as of late - it however functions as you would expect of a 97/105 as opposed to the 87/103.

On a serious note: do you know if you guys managed to squeeze in a fix for the occasional CTD on emergency stores jettison? That bug has been bugging me recently.

Yes of course, we've delayed the information another week because you asked :P

 

Edit:- about that crash, if you can show me how to replicate it reliably I'll check if it's fixed. Preferably a short track stopped just before the crash would occur.

The workaround for this bug is to not put yourself in situations that require an emergency jettison of the external stores.

 

- I stole that from a Cisco bug report. :)

  • Emergency Stores Jettison cockpit graphics and keystroke removed. Use selective jettison instead.

Here is the test mission. These are the fewest steps I have to take to get the CTD, in 1109:

 

Step 1. Start the mission

Step 2. Drop 1 Mk-82

Step 3. Press the emergency stores jettison button

 

Presto: CTD!

A-10C will be compatible with the forthcoming BS release starting from patch 1.1.1.0. Info regarding BS will be posted later.

I'm really excited about this patch! Looks like a lot has been done! Awesome job, ED!!! This is why we love you! :D Couple questions though (of course :P)!

 

1. How will the mission editor work when DCSW and DCSBS are "compatible", will they have the same mission editor with the same amount of choices, etc. Like, will the DCSBS mission editor be the same as the one in A-10?

 

2. When joining a multiplayer server while having started the DCSW multiplayer executable, will I be able to join in a BS, or will I have to start the DCSBS multiplayer executable first, or will there be one combined DCS MP executable that lets us fly both?

It's a tiny thing but thanks for fixing the state of the boat switch for us warthog users.

 

I'm hoping that the double ATC messages have been fixed. Did I miss that in the notes?

 

Also, any progress with the flashing white box for radeon 69xx users when HDR is enabled? I understand that you guys have maintained that it is driver issue and out of your control. It seemed to get fixed with the ati 11.6 drivers but got broke again in subsequent releases. Think it is still doing it with 11.9.

 

I think about 90% of the patch I won't even notice.:) Just goes to show how deep down the rabbit hole this sim goes. :)

Oh how I hope the radios not responding to LUA scripting makes it into this patch! Lots of frustrated iControl DCS users because the last patch broke it :(

The only JTAC 'issues' I know of were fixed in 1.1.0.9. What are you reffering to?

How about refueling comms issues in MP?

 

I posted a track showing wrong tanker response in this thread:

Also, tanker calls "disconnect" when a client is done instead of "transfer complete" and fuel tops around 8000 lbs, which I think is a bug. Tanker is still a bit rough when entering/exiting turns, which makes very difficult to stay connected during transitions.

 

Any word on these particular issues for 1.1.1.0?

Any news on fixes, changes or enhancements to Mission Editor?

 

As for the JTAC/FAC, I still have problems in some missions where he refuses to designate a target (even with visible unticked), will try and replicate and post. I thought it was known.
