DCS World 2.0 and New Maps Discussion Thread

Hope it releases but the screen shots indicate it's still work in progress which is good in a sense. Tells me they are perfectionists on this baby so that's a big plus for us. I just hope the announcement says hey we are going to release it open beta and get the customer base involved in the last bit of bug and performance tracking :)

 

Yeah, I dont think I can stress enough what a big deal 2.0 is for ED, they probably want to release it more than any one of us, but rushing it out is not going to be good for anyone... it will be worth the wait, not matter what that wait ends up being...

I try to learn TARGET programming and to produce a profile for Su-27 during these two days...

 

Also, the fact that the DCS commercial license is available now is probably related to the fact that DCS 2.0 is close to release :thumbup:

Lets hope so!!! Crap even if only 2.0 comes out and Nevada and other map later, Crimea looks allot better in the 2.0 engine for sure!

One more day to newsletter, i`m excited as if its the release date for EDGE itself.

hope it wont be some anti-climatic announcement about holiday sale or something :cry:

I can't wait for them to announce EDGE release date in 2 days time, I've just woken up though and do realise this is just wishful thinking :)

 

Will be a real shame if it isn't out soon, I just spent ages learning the A10C, and then got bored looking around the same old map and haven't played in 3 weeks. I really wish they had just left the old desert map in the game because even that was better then the current map.

The reason is simple. (I assume that) Wags must be well aware of the effect of his statement (that there will be an incoming news letter) on people before he decided to make it... namely, whatever is going to be in that news letter, its implication is going to be amplified by his announcement of the news letter before hand. I don't think he wishes to amplify negative implications, which will be the case if the news letter will have nothing to do with, or be about the delay of, EDGE.

 

So I am optimistic.
