linden Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 (edited) OFF TOPIC, But real funny!!! followed by a flight pilot writes out an error report, then get mechanics a service request, and determines which repair the error requires. The form is a paper that the pilot complete and mechanics read and then repair the problem. The mechanics then write on the form's bottom part, what they have done for repairs and pilots then reads through the report to the next flight. No one can say that the staff on the ground and the mechanics do not have a sense of humor. Here are some real, registered bugs over the need for maintenance and problems that Qantas pilots have written. And what solution maintenance staff have written. P = Problem filed by the pilot. S = Reply mechanic. ================================================== ============== P: Inner wheel on the left side should almost be replaced. S: Have almost replaced the innermost wheel on the left side. P: Test flight went OK, except that the automatic landing was hard. A: It's not installed any automatic landing system in this aircraft. P: Propeller no.2 may not get enough oil. A: Oil to propeller no.2 is OK. Oil of propeller no.1, 3 and 4 are inaccurate. P: Something loose in cockpit. S: Something was stuck in the cockpit. P: Dead bugs on windshield. S: Live bugs are restade available. P: Autopilot provides a fall of 200 feet when the altitude is locked. S: Can not reproduce problem on ground. P: Sign of leak on right side landing gear. A: The sign removed. P: The sound of the intercom is incredibly high. A: The sound of the intercom set to more believable level. P: The lock for the throttle will make the throttle stick. A: It is like it is there for ... P: Suspect that there is a crack in the windshield. S: Suspect you're right. P: No engine no.3. S: Engine found on right wing after brief search P: The aircraft behaves funny. A: The aircraft have been ordered to pull herself together, fly properly and be little more serious. P: The radar hums. S: Have reprogrammed radar to speak. P: Mouse in cockpit. S: Cat installed. Edited January 18, 2013 by linden 1

Lumper Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Qantas has had several serious accidents, but no deaths since 1951 which was in a prop aircraft. They have never had any deaths in a jet aircraft. They had several problems in 2008-2010, especially with Airbus 380's.
