Mate, it doesn't matter. I buy every mod no matter what stage it is in. Support the industry, which is decreasing.

I can wait for it and do not mind waiting for a good product. Will buy on the first day of release

I agree. There is usually a pre-purchase period. However, since this is their first product, they may think that its better its better to surprise with a top quality product. People would then automatically pre-purchase every other mod in the future.

I believe we are, at worse, a couple of weeks away from release.

Not necessarily. There were releases directly into beta, as well.

As I understood Polychop Sims, they aim for a non-beta first release, which is fine with me, though I have to say a beta phase usually irons out remaining issues and helps the devs to fix things.

Happy with either beta or release feom my side.

I was talking about pre-purchase. I'm happy either way. I'd be even happier to fly it today before tomorrow

So... How is this going to work, are you going to give us a release date before you send it out? or is it just going to pop up one day.

One day in DCS... Vipers will fly along side Tomcats... Bugs with Superbugs, Tiffy's with Tornado's, Fulcrums with Flankers and Mirage with Rafales...

:)The Future of DCS is a bright one:)

I suspect an announcement with a few days of pre sale at a special price. Maybe a week? We will see

The industry is increasing though. DCS has more developers with more on the way it seems, there is a revived IL2 series, X-plane is alive an well and then there is that new not MS MSFS in the works. On top of that, the arcade side of things like WT also seems to be sending us a steady stream of fresh blood. Things are actually looking pretty good for our little niche genre atm.

Back on topic, I'm not surprised it wasn't released today. I have next week partially off, so of course it wouldn't be released. Sorry guys, my fault.:tomato:

Yea, on the software side the flight sim and combat genre is doing well. I'm just concerned about the future of sim controls :/

And I know the feeling- if I get some days off I pretty much count on that meaning the module I'm wanting won't release. It'll drop the day I go back to work! (Happened with Mirage, L-39ZA, MiG 15 and 21)

It will never happen.. ever. The amount of holidays I booked for Edge and 1.5.

Will we never learn.

Do I print the current unfinished MI-8 manual and read it in the interim before the gazelle is released? Hmmm.

HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled.

DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!.

Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.

Go for it. I think we got some time to kill and the devs are pretty quiet here, probably because they are trying to get the bird done. I'm just wondering if sense it didn't make it out this week if that means it'll hit 2.0 first, sense 1.5 and 2.0 tend to swap update weekends. Wouldn't mind being able to take her up on NTTR for the first flight, although merged versions hopefully aren't too far off.

please be 2.0 first or 2.0 as well as the lowly 1.5 at the same time... please.. please!

Yes I am looking at either the Gazelle or maybe MiG-21 for my next module. I got the original Black Shark back in 2010 and I still play it. I am years behind on DCS stuff though. I was completely out of flight sims for a few years and now I've got back into it mainly with old Il-2 46 and the new Battle of Stalingrad version. I was really surprised to see all of the new stuff going on when I started reading the forums here. I will have to buy Black Shark again as Black Shark 2 so I can play it in DCS World though apparently. So many new things coming out that I am going to have to make a budget lol.

I'll get the Gazelle on day one myself, that much is certain. But if you're a chopper kind of guy, may I suggest getting the Mi-8 too? That whirlybird is pure awesomeness - and very, very versatile.

The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.

So any chance of releasing today PLEASE. I need something to look forward to after I've watched the Budget. ;)

Or at least a video, or a couple of screenshots. Possibly the manual? :D

Oh I will have them all eventually. It's just so hard to decide which to start with lol. I loved the chopper experience with BS1 and I want to buy that one again but at the same time I'm also drooling over all of these new modules. I've only in the last couple of months got my rig upgraded to be able to run the new DCS World. Right now I am still mastering the free Su-25T (which I also love btw). The Gazelle just seems like it would be a very fun and interesting little troublemaker. I am a low and slow ground pounder at heart so choppers and attack A/C are my favourites.
