marcos Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 The TsM is the Smoke rockets BTW. The other one not mentioned must be the candle rocket then. Never bother with them much.
159th_Falcon Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 (edited) The other one not mentioned must be the candle rocket then. Never bother with them much. I don't think the SU-25T can carry such rockets, ill check the ME to see if i missed em though. Very well possible... ***EDIT*** Just checked, illumination rockets are designated S-8OM in the mission editor. Only the KA-50 can carry them. (out of player flyable planes at least) The 25A and 25T can carry illumination bombs though, designated SAB-100 in the mission editor Edited September 5, 2012 by 159th_Falcon [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] The keeper of all mathematical knowledge and the oracle of flight modeling.:)
Tasmanian Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 What about KAB500? (TV guided bomb) Used to have this in LO 1.12

seikdel Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Thank you so much for the spreadsheet! This is really helpful!
marcos Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 (edited) What about KAB500? (TV guided bomb) Used to have this in LO 1.12 Still in. KAB-500Kr - 500kg TV guided bomb. Has a fairly long glide, and tracks moving targets pretty well. It actually weighs 560kg, but it's warhead is a FAB-500 500kg bomb of which 380kg is high explosive. It is capable of penetrating 1.5m of reinforced concrete. The weapons seeker can lock onto targets at ranges up to 15-17km depending on visibility..... so alleges the internet. Kr - TV guided. L - Laser guided S-E - GLONASS/Inertial guidance TK - Electro-optical datalink guided This may be followed by further suffixes: -Pr-E - Penetrator warhead, bunker busting etc. -F-E - Blast fragmentation -K-E - cluster warhead -OD-E - Overall Death to Everything (Thermobaric Fuel Air Explosive) Edited September 5, 2012 by marcos
159th_Falcon Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Mind you though, due to its TV guidance it can only be mounted to the inboard weapon stations. (being stations 5 and 7) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] The keeper of all mathematical knowledge and the oracle of flight modeling.:)
marcos Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Mind you though, due to its TV guidance it can only be mounted to the inboard weapon stations. (being stations 5 and 7) Yeah, maybe that's so the picture can be matched up more accurately. Strange one really. Bizarrely MAVs can only be carried on 3 and 9 on the A-10C too. Fussy weapons or just lazy weapons qualifiers. Dunno.
Tasmanian Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Still in. KAB-500Kr - 500kg TV guided bomb. Has a fairly long glide, and tracks moving targets pretty well. Oh, yeah, just did not notice them, pity only for 7,5

159th_Falcon Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Longest range fire-and-forget weapon of the Toad: Wrong, that would be the KH-58 with a range of about 90km when fired from angels 11 in FC2.:D (i think it will also be beaten by the KH-29T) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] The keeper of all mathematical knowledge and the oracle of flight modeling.:)
joey45 Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 the KH-58 is a Anti Radar Missile so it doesn't count. cltmmm Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Updated list. I guess this thread got me moving. *WARNING* I can't guarantee the accuracy, but it is mostly there. I need people to check up on this stuff. ZIP files has XLS sheet in it and PDF. Feel free to tweak it, modify it, etc. However, if you do, please post edits back to this thread for all to use.Su-25T Weapons v0.2 9-5-2012.zip
159th_Falcon Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Nice list cltmmm, some inaccuracies though; Kh-25MP should be Kh-25MPU And the following weapons are not possible to carry on the SU-25T as in DCS:World Kh-31 Kh-35 Kh-41 Kh-25L Kh-25MR PB-250 ZAB-500 ODAB-500PM S-25LD KAB-500L KAB-1500L And the S-8OFP2 is not an illumination rocket but an high explosive fragmentation one That's all for now. ~S~ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] The keeper of all mathematical knowledge and the oracle of flight modeling.:)
cltmmm Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Falcon, thanks for the edits. New version...Su-25T Weapons v0.3.zip
marcos Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 And the S-8OFP2 is not an illumination rocket but an high explosive fragmentation one Out of curiosity, I wonder if illumination rockets work just as well against armour as KOMs.
arteedecco Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) Falcon, thanks for the edits. New version... First of all, thank you for putting that spreadsheet together! I'm new to the Toadie and was struggling to understand the difference between the various munitions, so this really helps! A few suggestions for improvement if I may: Add max velocity column (at least for missiles, maybe rockets) -- Would be useful in quickly determining rough TOF for the weapon... potential for getting off multiple shots in one pass, etc. Add which stations weapon can be loaded onto (for example some of the larger TV weapons like the Kh-25T can only go on 5/7) Maybe just add a note reminding pilots that TV guided munitions are fire and forget while laser guided weapons require the laser to paint the target all the way from launch to impact. I will see what I can do to provide input here when I'm back home in front of the gaming rig. Thanks again for the list and the updates! Edited November 12, 2012 by arteedecco "Snipe" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OS => Win7 64-bit Ultimate | MOBO => ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe | RAM => 8GB | VIDEO CARD => XFX ATI 4850 | CONTROLLER => Saitek X52 | DISPLAY => ASUS 25.5" 1600x1280 | HDD => 150GB WD Raptor (10K RPM)
ED Team NineLine Posted June 23, 2014 ED Team Posted June 23, 2014 Sorry to dig up this post, but what would you use out of this list would you use, if any, to hit a hardened target? Would the KAB-500KR do it? Actually, i am working on an quick reference SU-25T Weapons Manual. It is intended for future public release after me and my squad buddies are done whit final things like making it look good, and confirming all data is relevant and correct after the FC3 update. Information included in the manual for most weapons are; Type of warhead, intended use of weapon, release speeds and altitude and range where applicable. One problem is though that all data in it is based on either References from books or testing in FC2, and thus may be different from the DCS world 25T. (especially after the missile afm patch) Here's a list of items included in the manual; Pods; 6, L-081 Fantasmagoria ELINT 6, Mercury LLTV 1 and 11 MPS-410 Smoke Generators, Blue, Green, Orange, Red, White and Yellow 4, 5, 7 and 8 SPPU-22-1 Gun pod Fuel Tanks; Fuel tank 800L Wing Suitable for stations 3, 5, 7, and 9 Total added weight per FULL tank is 760 KG Total added fuel weight per FULL tank is 620 KG Means that when empty there is still 140KG per tank of useless weight on your aircraft, not to mention the additional drag. DROP WHEN EMPTY!!! ENO Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I think I already know the answer since the list is void of anything I'm wondering about... But is there any (plan to add) equivalent to the western training munitions? "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
