We are patiently waiting, in our circa 1999 3d models, MS Paint cockpit textures, half forgotten and most definitely improperly tested and maintained, leaking, smoking, vodka burning, radioactive, glowing in the dark, air conditioning not working - with worn helmets, no heated seats, no microwave ovens, no flight gloves or diapers, with missing windshield wipers...

 

We are patiently waiting, for the pretty boys to show up... where art thou my lovely, pink dress, short skirt targets?

Somewhere around here is a thread or two discussing this. IIRC, it was tested with DCS World and ran just fine, which indicates that FC3 should as well since it runs inside of World.

As much as a part of me goes WOOOOOHHHH!!!!! FC3!!!!!!DIE A-10C DIE DIE DIE!!!! I would prefer nothing for another 3 years when it is really done with all aircraft with 3d cockpits then to get something that to is just completely unfinished I just don't get why we want that. If anything is clear it is that people are a little bit angry even if they are happy that they are getting an F-15. Please ED just take your time we have high fidelity aircraft, we have the Mig-21 coming from Beczl soon don't release FC3 with a cockpit that will just taunt with it's 3D dials that cant be used and just move. I just don't want it to do that. It makes me sad every time I think about it. :'(

Believe it or not, not everybody wants clickable cockpits. Especially for those lite simmers out there and that's who fc3 is targeting to some degree. If you don't like that reason, it doesn't make business sense to spend additional development time for 3D pits (which Matt says takes a year of development time) for all aircraft when in the end ubisoft will walk away with a portion of profits. It's been stated this could very well be the last FC update so enjoy it for what it is and look forward to the dcs future (complete with third party modules) :joystick:

Why isn't it out? Seriously, I haven't slept since they announced it. I'm almost out of caffeine pills, and my doctor says these hallucinations aren't contributing to my overall health.

It's fun for em.. Announce FC3 on the 1st then wait till the end of the month. It's payback for all the batching and moaning we've done for the past little bit :)
