DCSW v1.2.1 first impressions

Overall:

 

* Everything installed without glitches, modules included - still have my 9 activations per flyable

 

* FPS fluctuates more than in v1.2.0 and the average framerate seems lower, but the sim runs much more smoothly too - no stutters to speak of and even the smoke stutter seems to be gone

 

* The flickering cursor is an annoyance, but by no means a showstopper

 

* The radio menu pops up at random by itself now - huh :huh:

 

* The graphics quality is better overall

 

* Still get some clouds flickering, an annoyance again but not a showstopper

 

* All JS & KB mappings transferred without a glitch, just dropped them in & was good to go :)

 

* And oh yeah, last but definitely not the least the autoupdater seems to work flawlessly - this is a great improvement to the series IMO :thumbsup:

 

A-10C:

 

* SAS rudder logic seems to have been reworked - the response reminds me of how it used to be in v1.1.1.1

 

* MFCD image quality is much better now

 

* The jet seems more stable, but you really have to pay attention to energy management now - IMO a good thing

 

* Crosswind landings seem more challenging - again a good thing IMO

 

* Acceleration at takeoff as before, ie. the engines have not been reworked it seems

 

* Slows down better on rollout, so maybe the ground friction WAS reworked though?

 

Ka-50:

 

* We FINALLY got a working OAT gauge - woohoo :D

 

* Flies more stable now it seems

 

(not much testing done on the chopper yet, so this is all I've noticed so far)

 

The verdict:

 

* Overall a clear improvement for me, kudos ET for a job well done :thumbup:

It did that at random for me, although I haven't double-checked yet if it's a config snag. As I said I used my old mappings and just dropped them in - controls seem to work 100% otherwise but could still be there's a double mapping somewhere.

Yup, just updated myself and what tiny judders I had are now gone. Woo-hoo :beer:

It became for me playable the last mission...but i have the buildings disappear and became black with a flash sometimes , i dony know how ti fix it

Wow you guys are lucky. I've had nothing but problems. I am trying to do the campaign with A-10C. I have done 4 missions and the game crashed on every single one. Twice when my CBUs detonated on target and twice when JTAC was assigning me my second target.

 

Haven't tried any single missions yet, but this is frustrating.

Yes there does seem to be some buildings that are BLACK when looking through TGP, it turns on and off randomly.

 

Other than that, good stuff.

For me it pops up f.ex. when Betty gives a low altitude warning ("altitude, altitude"). Most weird IMHO :huh:
