Risk Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 I am not looking for a mod, but a hardcore fully developed F/A-18. With flight dynamics and avionics modeling similar to what was put into the A-10C. I have waited a long time for this aircraft and I believe many other have as well.
BRooDJeRo Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 The christmas surprise month is on its way so maybe you can get a pile of hope from that. In the mean time......Wham?
Pilotasso Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 My 2 cents: ED will not reveal what the next aircraft will be untill sales of current products have settled. Maybe 6 months more down the road. .
Neor Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 If you want to make it clickable, make the LUA with data and systems, the Animations for switches are all there. Why are the switches already there???
Pyroflash Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 I dunno, but I sure hope that they don't make an F/A-18C. Nothing against it, but it wouldn't be that much more difficult to do a SH. If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
GGTharos Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Actually yes it is a lot more difficult. I dunno, but I sure hope that they don't make an F/A-18C. Nothing against it, but it wouldn't be that much more difficult to do a SH. Neor Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 but right now it makes no sense that the switch already there, right? unless it is the next dcs module
Speedbrake Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Still Holding Out I'm still hoping that EDs next study aircraft is the F/A-18 as my Jane's F/A-18 simulation won't play on my current system and A-10C HOTAS. I want the carrier ops and AGM-88 Harm missile capability. Besides Wags worked on the Jane's simulation so maybe he has a sweet spot in his heart to "do it right"! LOL! :pilotfly:
upupandaway Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 but right now it makes no sense that the switch already there, right? unless it is the next dcs module Who knows, it may also be a smart design choice to include the interface for such an expansion if you are already building the cockpit. Maybe there already is part of a DCS F-15C module, waiting to be reactivated by a dev team from ED. It doesn´t really allow any conclusions at this point, much less with Wags statement in mind. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Deedle, deedle!
ErichVon Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 You will see guys, the next DCS airplane is the F-15C. Because we have the Cockpit and the Airplane! It's no question for me. Loock at the cockpit in FC3, that is DCS Quality and not Flaming Cliffs typical! The next DCS Airplane is the F15C and im so happy about that! Put a tailhook on it and give us the Carl Vinson. LOL!
aaron886 Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Actually yes it is a lot more difficult. ^ Correct.
upupandaway Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 My 2 cents: ED will not reveal what the next aircraft will be untill sales of current products have settled. Maybe 6 months more down the road. I think you´re right. Their roadmap also included that Nevada come before the next jet, IIRC. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Deedle, deedle!
ErichVon Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) Someone in another thread stated that Wags has already officially stated the new jet isn't F-15C. However I haven't actually seen that statement. The majority of the wish list poll want the Super Hornet. I bet 90% of the guys would buy anything offered. Edited November 11, 2012 by ErichVon
Agg Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 but right now it makes no sense that the switch already there, right? unless it is the next dcs moduleTo me this is just more proof that the Eagle was going to be the next DCS module, but was dropped.
Neor Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 To me this is just more proof that the Eagle was going to be the next DCS module, but was dropped. Why are you so sure that ED dropped this idea?
Suchacz Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Another ED modules is...F-15C? Year of creation cockpit and was not clickable? What a waste of labor. Anyway look this, AIM-9X in option: BTW... AIM-9x can be fired from F-15C as well as from F/A-18C :smilewink: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIM-9_Sidewinder#AIM-9X Per aspera ad astra! GGTharos Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 As well as F-16, F-35, and probably anything else that happens to equip a sidewinder rail and has the ability to receive FCS software updates :) In fact I believe I saw one on a harrier, but I could we wrong. Agg Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Why are you so sure that ED dropped this idea?Because it makes no sense for them to release a "half finished" Eagle now and then another one in six months. That's why I think that what we're seeing in FC3 now is the remnants of a planned Eagle module.
GGTharos Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Yes it does make sense. It adds to the value of the package. An FC eagle, even with the same cockpit, would not be anything like a DCS Eagle. ED has not excluded any aircraft from the lineup. Suchacz Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 GG, Nate and other tester-guys: This chatter and conspiracy theories must be a real fun for you  Don't tell me, that you don't know, what "DCS: Next" is....
