Blooze Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 For the past several days I got the "connection interrupted" message when trying to enter the 104th server. After reading a post regarding their server's restrictions I asked myself what I had installed that may be preventing me from getting in. It occured to me that I had installed TARS thinking I would need it to fly with someone that was using it. Although I have never used TARS, when I uninstalled it I was able to connect to the 104th server again with no problems. That's the only server that I had a problem with but uninstalling TARS solved it for me. Hope that may help to answer the question some. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Hamblue Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 ...but still wonder why my ''old'' instalation all of the sudden stop working in MP!? salut! :) I have the same problem every time I run my windows maintenance progarm (System Mechanic) The clean function that clears trash files etc seems to screw up my multi-player and give me CI's. All it takes to fix is use the start menu and select "Repair DCS World". A re-install isnt needed. Asus Sabertooth P67 Motherboard 2600k CPU, 16 gig DDR3, 1600. Kusch Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 I have the same problem. How can I connect (and it crashes later), I can not choose aircraft from the right side menu. Give me "flying telephone pole" (SA-2)!

diveplane Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 (edited) internet side of the sim really needs a good make over and work on i think. Edited December 17, 2012 by diveplane https://www.youtube.com/user/diveplane11 DCS Audio Modding.
ENO Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I don't know about you guys but we eliminated 3/4s of our problem by going back to 1.1.1.1. Sort of ironic that we've taken a step back about 6 months and yet gain access to some of the best (functioning) mods available in the series. Back when guys who excelled at building some of the best missions ever created (including crew) were enthusiastic about it. Anyway, the people who know best are working on it... certainly doing the best they can to marry 4 ambitious concepts together- heck even in church such an institution seldom lasts beyond the honeymoon... I can't imagine what this must be like. We had planned to take a step back to 1.1.1.1 for a weekend and see how it went but frankly I'm so excited about getting so much of the sim back I'm half considering staying there. As for the problem- it sounds like it's big and it doesn't sound like it's getting solved before the new year... "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. SkateZilla Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 for MP, I'll stick with 1.1.1.1, its so much fun to spend 4 hours flying and landing to re-arm and refuel without having a random disconnect. MagnumHB Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 1.1.1.1 had plenty of random disconnects as I recall. They just took longer to occur.

Watari Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 When more than 10 clients connected to a server the performance goes badly down. On every server i play its the same: quax, STP , 104th,... Especially when player connect or take a slot. Sometimes over 10sec lag. I reduced all settings to low to avoid a bad clientside latency (i play on high in SP with no problems). I sooooooo f*****g frustrating to stay alive, avoid sam hits, do the most part of a miss and then ...... ping time out :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: :matrix: =SPEED IS LIFE=:matrix: http://www.planeandpilotmag.com/speed-is-life.html
S D Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 After everything working fine since the beta pretty much, i have now started to get Connection Interupted when i try to join a server and more annoyingly friends get CI when trying to join my server. Tried going through Tunngle, but had the same results. I dont get what has changed, afaik nothing has changed on my end. Pretty frustrated right now...
ENO Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 The group is getting larger and less distinguished as time passes. S D Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 I have tried of all the solutions, plus lots of playing with my router. As i say all has been fine until the past month. Ive never had to mess about before to get into or host a stable server.
Dejjvid Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 I hosted a session with hardcore terrorists and we had lots of people joining and playing. Then I destroyed the last Buk site and after the tanker got active I noticed no one could join the game. This is also confirmed by ED, and I recommend all servers to remove the tankers if you want people to join. i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]
ENO Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Yeah- the tankers are a well known flaw... unfortunately still not well known enough. People are beating their heads in with face palms trying to figure out why their server works fine one minute and not the next- tankers are a problem. Locking scene detail and civ traffic in the mission editor are also problematic. There are a few points laid out in the sticky above that help outline some of the temporary fixes. S D Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Update on my problems... After lots of messing for no joy, i decided to do a clean install of DCS. I uninstalled/reg clean etc. Then installed World/A10/P51/CA. I host a game for me and a friend and amazingly it worked first time. We had a good solid 3hr flight. I went off that night happy. Come today, start mupltiplayer, host a game same as yesterday. Guess what.... Connection Interupted. Exact same problem as before, NOTHING has changed since yesterday, what the hell is going on.

chromium Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 You should wait 1.2.3, and see if this issue is included in the "Fixed client crash in MP" statement in the preliminary changelog. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=99109 Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

Scooternutz Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Same issue here after re-install. The really weird thing is this just started happening. I was online and the next mission I get CI. Is it something in the reg files? Has ED stated anything about this or is this a "you" problem? [sIGPIC]https://drive.google.com/file/d/16rUBmmJR7A3YGZVGPGskxG1XtvulGojJ/view?usp=sharing[/sIGPIC]
Dustoff74 Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Well, great, after being away from DCS because of the G940 FFB problem, I fired it up for some P-51 MP flying and found out, I couldn´t join most of the servers. "Connection interrupted". Repair install didn´t help. Nothing else was changed. Rock 'n' Roll! Henning
Dejjvid Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 1.2.3 is probably the most MP-tested patch so far and it's just around the corner (soon).
