falcon_120 Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 (edited) Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 3 (FC3) Update Per the list above of FC3 changes, work on this module continues. However, the module will likely be in a protracted beta development stage as we create new content for it that our customers have been asking for. The most noteworthy being a new 6 DOF cockpit for the Su-27 Flanker. We also plan to release a new radar mode for the MiG-29S that allows dual tracking and engagements of targets with the R-77 air-to-air missile. The pre-purchase price will stay at $39.99 as an early buyer discount; however, the final release will be at $49.99 given the number of new features and extended development time. Happy holidays, The Fighter Collection and Eagle Dynamics Incredible news, another show that ED is a company that within his limitations really listen their customers. Well done ED! Now *that* will get me to buy FC3, people. I've been Jonesing for the 9-13's two-target TWS for lo, unto these many years. If you all would take a look at the Su-27's MFD in the redesign and make sure that the green gridwork in screen background, in the combat modes, doesn't bleed into the surrounding cockpit art, that would be welcome. COnsidering that the cockpit is full 3d now and not composed of 2d panels, just like the A-10C and F-15 cockpit, the cockpit MFD display shouldn't be overlayed as a bitmap (which could be responsible for the bleed). Anyways...excited to see shots of the new cockpit. Pyroflash Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Good news, now I don't have to hear all of these Flanker guys complaining about their terrible looking plane anymore :D If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.

wilky510 Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Congrats to the Russian pilots. Just i said in my earlier posts. They would eventually get to the Russian side, and people shouldn't have been so doubtful! Since MiG-29 gets TWS, does this mean i finally can get my AIM-120D? :megalol:
Kuky Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Since MiG-29 gets TWS, does this mean i finally can get my AIM-120D? :megalol: no :music_whistling: No longer active in DCS...

Kuky Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Can't wait for some photos! it looks great doesn't it... almost like real?! :D No longer active in DCS...
Shein Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 You know its ironic, I started out playing FC2 and I learned and loved the F-15. I was overjoyed to see the attention it got in FC3, but the flanker caught my eye... and I've since fallen in love with that aircraft, and now that I have it got a new model and it's getting a new cockpit and I couldn't be happier!
Pilotasso Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 I think we should have both the 9-12 and the 9-13 Mig-29S models, given that on some servers might preffer realism while others will want balance, would be a good idea. .
Alfa Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 COnsidering that the cockpit is full 3d now and not composed of 2d panels, just like the A-10C and F-15 cockpit, the cockpit MFD display shouldn't be overlayed as a bitmap (which could be responsible for the bleed). The "MFD" image of MiG-29 and Su-27 shouldn't have a grid at all, so a better "fix" would be to remove it from the code altogether :) 1 JJ
Alfa Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 it looks great doesn't it... almost like real?! :D Except that its a Su-33 pit Kuky - T-10K5(bort # 69) to be specific ;) JJ
joey45 Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 (edited) Who similer is the 27 and 27K [aka 33] pit different.??? IF it's a few switches here and there then they could do both in tandem.?? Edited December 25, 2012 by joey45 The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Alfa Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 (edited) They are quite different Joey - the current Su-33 pit in the game is actually not very accurate. The front panel has a different layout with several instruments being different, the side consoles are different, extra handles(for naval systems) etc. In the current game pit many of these differences are depicted simply by swapping out textures, while other aren't at all. Building the pits in full 3D, it would require a huge amount of extra work to properly replicate those differences. Edited December 25, 2012 by Alfa JJ

The main difference of the new system of warning of exposure (it looks like a TEWS) (I can not show the pictures). Su33 on past upgrades have MFD Мои авиафото
