Wolfie Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) Let's.take some real bets, Next hardcore plane from ED, or half life 3. I vote ED. Right now I'm betting on HL3, because there's been no word of a new plane from ED for 3 years now. Its starting to look like ED is just going to work on FC3 and let all the third parties make everything else. Which IMO would be disastrous! Come on ED, announce your next plane already, if you have one in development even. Were beginning to wonder. edit: Lol, agree about the 802u. Looks like an armed crop duster. EtherealN Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 and as i imagine if heads of ED tell to 3rd parties: hey our partners please show some eyecandies to our community then they will post some pics without worrying of reactions This would violate their independence. They are not slaves to ED or TFC, they are Partners. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester

It's already done. Its starting to look like ED is just going to work on FC3 and let all the third parties make everything else. Which IMO would be disastrous! Come on ED, announce your next plane already, if you have one in development even. Were beginning to wonder. Already been announced. 18C, 15C and 27SM. Seriously, what is the confusion? What has not been announced is which one will come first. edit: Lol, agree about the 802u. Looks like an armed crop duster. Because it is! EtherealN Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) and yes i can remember the AT-802U announcement - i didnt like the idea - more precisely: i hated i am still believe only few people would have bought it - P-51D was a much more better choice Anti TanK Ugly Air Tractor would have been waste of time, money and effort from ED My point is: You hated it so much, you didn't even stop to think about whether there was a product being developed on the AT-802U before you went on rants about it. All over an avatar picture? Remember: there never was an AT-802U announcement! There never was such a product; not in development, not planned for development, not even announced as a candidate. All there was, was Matt taking an AT-802U pic to his avatar as a joke... (My inflated ego tells me he got the idea from me constantly answering all "what is the next plane" questions with "DCS AT-802U". :D ) Now imagine what happens when half-finished renders are released and rivetcounters start flaming about this or that being "wrong", completely forgetting that it's WIP... ;) Much better to show stuff when there are good, completed, things to show, no? Wolfie Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Already been announced. 18C... LOL, you're beating around the bush again, dude! But is "ED" making it? People like me aren't so trusting about 3rd party. Were really wanting to know what the next plane from "ED" is. Cali Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I heard in the news alot of F16's amongst nations are being replaced by F35's and F22's. This means fresh brew for the jet oldtimermarket that might scream for a reasonable budget training simulator. Or will everything go to a graveyard so an ordinary farmer cant have his own F16 for cropdusting in the barn? F-22's aren't getting exported to any other nations, the US is the only place it'll fly from. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
Kuky Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Relax guys... lot of things ARE being worked on by ED and 3rd party developers. For FC3 only there are still lot of things to be fixed and new stuff is being added... true, slowly... but it'll get there :) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
BRooDJeRo Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 F-22's aren't getting exported to any other nations, the US is the only place it'll fly from. Correct, but the current budget shortage might trigger some odd deals here and there.

Rikus Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Already been announced. 18C, 15C and 27SM. Seriously, what is the confusion? Why developing 3 planes at same time, at that level of develpment so difficult and need much time for each plane. Isn´t better to focus in one plane to start selling earlier? Greetings

Hellfire257 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 One thing to consider is increased workflow efficiency as work progresses on modules. The developers will hopefully optimise their workflow which will increase output rate (in theory).

The developers will hopefully optimise their workflow which will increase output rate (in theory). All these ideas are based on the assumption, that ED is only doing the modules and can use the spare time to spread work over all WIP-planes & systems. I honestly doubt that, as a lot of work goes into constantly working and updating the engine and the included planes, vehiles and objects.
