What is that U-symbol on the RWR? It showed up on DRAGONS Thunderstuck. It kept on by rwr all the time and i just want to know that unit procudes this u.

I believe it is a ship radar. Were you near the coast?

U is normally for unknown, at least in the F-16, and so far in my experience with DCS the RWR symbols should be the same regardless of what aircraft you fly.

We had a U in Bacteria mission the other night and I reckon that was the UAV/Predator JTAC

The E-3C is "E3", the E-2C is "E2" and the A-50 "50".

There is no "W" in the RWR database for the A-10C, the nearest is "SW" which is the fire control system of the Kusnetsov aircraft carrier. EW doesn't exist either, search RADARs are displayed as "S".

The FC3 aircraft may have different track files though so no idea what symbology they use.

"U" is indeed an unknown track, and far more common IRL than in DCS.

I know the original question has been answered but just to clarify, Predators don't have that sort of radar.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Predators don't have radars like that.

I saw this in a mission a couple of nights ago, I was definitely getting an 'airborne unknown' from a predator. I believe this is bug.

Yep, got the "U" in the A10 on Gudauta Rush, and was still up after mission complete, it's gotta be the UAVs.

yes everything i saw was an airborne "U". but scrolling though the externals views...i didnt see anything weird except for a predator. maybe a tanker perhaps? do they have radar?

Brit and I are talking IRL. Who know what weird shenanigans they programmed into this sim.

Aye, I agree it's a 'flaw/error' and shouldn't be modeled due to no radar, I agree. I'm talking just confirming what the simulation is showing is all. But yes, I agree with you guys. Just wanted to clear that up. Cheers! For sure it was the 3 UAV's as that's was all that was up after the mission aside from me and one other players in A10's landed at Shukumi before closing down the mission.
