PMDG 777X News/thread

For all the other chaps who love/like airliners, you cannot miss this one!

The previews of the 777X from PMDG have begun! I for one CANNOT WAIT for this to be released! Imagine flying the 772LR with the BIG GE-90 engines producing 115.000 lbs EACH!

FSX News

When the FSX@War project Is released, users will get the full-combat experience they’ve been looking forward to since the start of the VRS Tacpack project.

FSX@War will implement war theaters full of SimObject targets for the VRS TacPack add-on.

FSX@War will feature an Air Tasking Order (ATO), Naval Tasking Order (NTO) and Order Of Battle (OOB) within a dynamic campaign a la Falcon.

And all of this in FSX with the whole World and ORBX Sceneries. I Love it.

What do you think about this project?

The 777-300ER GE engines produce 115,000 lbs, the 777-200LR and freighter are limited to 110,000 lbs due to Vmcg and Vmca limitations.

An empty freighter is the most impressive.

Really? I thought it's just what the customer orders. Most 772LR's are fitted with 110.000 lbs rated engines. If the customer wants to GE changes/unlocks the EEC to deliver the 115k rating. As far as I know a handfull of operators have the 115 rating/unlock (Ethiopian).

True the 110k is the standard rating for the LR and the freighter.

Its possible that Ethiopian have it purely because of the altitude of Addis and the fact that Vmcg/Vmca might not be a problem at that altitude. I'll dig my books out later and check.

Meh: my F16 clean will get there in 90 seconds...LOL

Maybe, but you can't hold a party in a F-16 and get from 1 side of the world to the other non-stop without refuelling.

I am starting to run into problems. PMDG will release the 777, Beczl will release the Mig-21 and othere projects I don't even heard of yet (due to time issues) probably are also too come soon.

:pilotfly::joystick:

Who has time for that? I am really running out of it! Maybe I should put more preassure on the officials in my country to finally introduce the 26 hour day.

But seriously, I am really looking forward to the 777. I love the MD-11 (whitout it, I wouldn't even be here, it introduced me to serious simming) and the 737 is neat too. Glad this school year is over, and holidays are to start soon.

It's an amazing a/c. I get to fly one every once in a while and this thing is huge! It defies belief what engineers have done with the engines. It's ridiculously easy to fly manually (autotrim). I don't like the Fisher Price-style buttons and switches but oh well... This is my review of the 773. If you can fly a 738, you'll have no problems with this one. It's just a bigger version... a lot bigger! ;-)

After flying the PMGD 737 for nearly 2 years Im not that excited about the 777 the reason being it just looks like and basically is a stretched 737 with a drab brown cockpit. So if you own the 737 your getting extra mileage , longer legs.

Now what I am looking forward to is the 747v2. There is just something special about the 747's

4 engines for a start
