I'm one of those people who, for some reason, can't comprehend textutorial, so thank you very much. If you would do a full blown animation for mechanical joints or car suspensions I'd love you for a long, long time. :D If only others are as kind as you. :)

ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

Watching now.... Thanks.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

just to note, if you put it on auto, and move to 1.0 or -1.0 and adjust mesh, it will automatically fill in the 0 Keyframe.

so you dont have to do the "up/down" to set the 0,

Click mesh, Assign ArgumentController, Put in a New Argument, make it active, choose auto, click mesh, move slider to 1/-1, rotate/move/scale. 0 will Automatically be keyed as the original state.

Thanks Skate, that is a good tip. Usually, I can use ADD KEY but for some reason my 3ds Max isn't doing that.

I know it took me foooooooooooooooor ever to get the landing gear rotation to work.

and even now i dont think it's working right...

I had to rotate 90 degrees, Key frame, repeat for the 360 rotation, if i tried KeyFrame, rotate 359, keyframe, it wouldnt work at all.

^gear rotation

Key frame:-100->100

-100-->0: not set

0--> 50:180 degrees( or -180 degrees)

50-->100 :180 degrees ( or -180 degrees)

=you have 360 degrees rotation

If you are talking about the wheels, what I had to do was turn autokey on, set a key at 0, move the slider to 50 , turn the wheel 180, move the slider to 100 then turn the wheel another 180 in the same direction. Worked for me.

yes, it`s possible but for getting angle of slide for your wsock you have to create FM dll.

I also have idea to create animated wind sock. if you have animated model we can do it together, your model, mine dll. PM me.

Yes, I've thought about this, but the idea of making an aircraft to be a windsocks seems ridiculous, unless you know how to link a flight model dll to a static object? Wouldn't someone have to fly as the windsock, haha?

i was under the impression for animations is was -30 / +30 for frame counts.

I have been using -100 and +100 and it seems to work just fine.

It's -100 to +100 for the animation track. People used -30 to +30 in the early years but that's not how the game is set up. And for things like tires and radar rotations with 360 degrees of rotation, you must split it up in to 90 degree chunks. So animate 360 degrees from 0 to 100, and just add a key at 25 50 and 75 and it will work fine.

I guess I go Back and Re-Do all the Animations Soon.
