Hey Guys,

I've figured out how to deploy the Pilot's sight and found the intensity and range adjustments (on the sight at least).

I can't seem to find the switch that lights the rectile lamp. Anybody had success in turning on the rectile lamp?

Also, I can't seem to find key bindings for range, intensity or rectile lamp for the Pilot sight. Found the key binding that deploy the sight but came up empty otherwise.

Thanks for the help.

I really hope you mean reticle lamp, 'cause if there's a rectile lamp, I don't want to find it...

Anyway, still downloading, so can't help yet, but I'll let you know, just couldn't resist the reply.

Switch is behind the sight. You can see it looking over from the co-pilots seat but you can also hit the hotspot from the front of the sight without seeing the switch to activate it.

You have to delete your existing keyboard.lua files for the new ones to generate which will have new key bindings slots

Heloguy,

Guilty of a fat finger but if your questioning if I can find my rectal lamp, well that's my business.

Lerenzoj and Flankerone,

Thanks for the help and the picture link.

I deleted my saved games keyboard.lua but the only key binding I find is the RShift M to deploy the pilot sight. Nothing to adjust intensity, range or to turn the lam on/off.

Can either of you post those key bindings?

Thanks.

I've only used the mouse to turn on and adjust the sight. Not actually sure if a slot has been assigned yet for the additional controls. I'll have to take a look

My pilot sight does not work and no reticule.

By default the reticule lamp is turned off and at lower intensity (0).

From the stowed position you can easily turn on the Reticule Lamp Switch. Now you can extend the sight by pressing the Locking Lever (RShift + M, or with the mouse on the actual Lever).

In the extended position turn the Reticule Intensity Control to the desired level and you are good to go.

I'm afraid this does not work for me, no reticule ... :(

Same here, I turned on the Lamp, tried different settings on the brightness knob, but i can't see any reticle, no matter what angle i'm looking through it. :(

just get sure

- the Huey is up and running and the Inverter Switch on the Overhead Console is "Main -on"

- look "behind" or "around" the Pilot Rectile while it is stowed! (to the right side)

- Flick the little Switch with the Mouse (Hint: Pilot Sight on/off)

- bring down the Rectile (right Shift + M or klick "Pilot Rectile armed/save" Switch)

-Turn the brightness ALL THE WAY UP (Mousewheel up on the "Pilot Sighting Station Intensity" Wheel on the Rectile (Look a bit arround the Rectile to the left)

- If necessary tune the sight Elevation (Wheel on the left)

Should work

You can see where the on-off switch is located by looking over from the co-pilots position but you can also activate it from the front hot-spot. there are several posts with detailed photos

the most important information is that now the two sights are separated in controls

You have copilot sight which is "flexible sight" and has these commands: Sight on/off, main lamp, spare lamp, lamp off, sight intensity up and down. These are the old commands.

You have new Pilot sight commands: Sight raise/lower (or click on the lever), Lamp on (the hidden switch behind it), sight angle raise or lower (rotary on the left side of it, does the same as the commands in SU25A) and sight lamp intensity (another rotary). In Option Controls I found only the command to raise lower the sight that Shift+M

Now works for me too.

Once you have turned it on and adjusted the reticle etc, when you use Shift + M to raise and lower it, the reticle will stay lit if you don't turn it off

So...seems like the developers need to:

1. Rename the keyboard control to Pilot Sight Armed/Safe - to lower or raise the Pilot sight..it now states Pilot Sight on.

2. We need a Keyboard entry for turning on the Pilot Sight Lamp...perhaps it should be labeled Pilot Sight on?

3. We need a Keyboard entry to adjust the brightness level of the Pilot Sight and we need a animated graphical light intensity dial rotary on the sight.

Am I right?

3. the rotary is animated, it's just not visible from the front. look at it from the left.

Glad, that we now know we can see the rotary for Pilot Sight brightness, best from the Co-Pilots position.....ideally, we will have a keyboard.lua entry for this, that we can use...or map to a Joystick or Throttle button....and same for the Pilot Sight Lamp on/off switch.
