jjohnson241 Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Hey Guys, I've figured out how to deploy the Pilot's sight and found the intensity and range adjustments (on the sight at least). I can't seem to find the switch that lights the rectile lamp. Anybody had success in turning on the rectile lamp? Also, I can't seem to find key bindings for range, intensity or rectile lamp for the Pilot sight. Found the key binding that deploy the sight but came up empty otherwise. Thanks for the help. heloguy Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I really hope you mean reticle lamp, 'cause if there's a rectile lamp, I don't want to find it... Anyway, still downloading, so can't help yet, but I'll let you know, just couldn't resist the reply. 1 i9 12900k @ 4.9ghz, 64gb RAM Nvidia RTX 3090 Windows 11 x64 Pimax Crystal VP Force Rhino w/RS F16GRH, Virpil TCS Rotor Plus AH-64 Collective, BRD F1 Pedals, WH Throttle, FSSB R3 w/WH Grip, PointCTRL v2
lorenzoj Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Switch is behind the sight. You can see it looking over from the co-pilots seat but you can also hit the hotspot from the front of the sight without seeing the switch to activate it. You have to delete your existing keyboard.lua files for the new ones to generate which will have new key bindings slots

jjohnson241 Posted September 6, 2013 Author Posted September 6, 2013 Heloguy, Guilty of a fat finger but if your questioning if I can find my rectal lamp, well that's my business. Lerenzoj and Flankerone, Thanks for the help and the picture link. I deleted my saved games keyboard.lua but the only key binding I find is the RShift M to deploy the pilot sight. Nothing to adjust intensity, range or to turn the lam on/off. Can either of you post those key bindings? Thanks. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 3rd Mar Div RVN '66-'67
lorenzoj Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I've only used the mouse to turn on and adjust the sight. Not actually sure if a slot has been assigned yet for the additional controls. I'll have to take a look

flanker0ne Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 By default the reticule lamp is turned off and at lower intensity (0). From the stowed position you can easily turn on the Reticule Lamp Switch. Now you can extend the sight by pressing the Locking Lever (RShift + M, or with the mouse on the actual Lever). In the extended position turn the Reticule Intensity Control to the desired level and you are good to go. SCOPRI DI PIU': https://www.amvi.it/joinus.php DISCORD COMBINEDOPS The Battle Planning Tool

flanker0ne Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Did you located all the necessary Controls around and behind the Reflex Sight? Except for the lowering mechanism (Locking Lever) in front of you and controllable with both mouse and the new Keyboard command [RShift + M], the others work only with mouse. elcoo Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Same here, I turned on the Lamp, tried different settings on the brightness knob, but i can't see any reticle, no matter what angle i'm looking through it. :(
Lizzard Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 just get sure - the Huey is up and running and the Inverter Switch on the Overhead Console is "Main -on" - look "behind" or "around" the Pilot Rectile while it is stowed! (to the right side) - Flick the little Switch with the Mouse (Hint: Pilot Sight on/off) - bring down the Rectile (right Shift + M or klick "Pilot Rectile armed/save" Switch) -Turn the brightness ALL THE WAY UP (Mousewheel up on the "Pilot Sighting Station Intensity" Wheel on the Rectile (Look a bit arround the Rectile to the left) - If necessary tune the sight Elevation (Wheel on the left) Should work My Specs: I don`t care..it is a Computer..a black one..
lorenzoj Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 You can see where the on-off switch is located by looking over from the co-pilots position but you can also activate it from the front hot-spot. there are several posts with detailed photos
JackDant Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Be careful you are not rotating the sight elevantion knob instead of lamp intensity. They are not that far from each other.
Rangi Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Also try with armament system in safe or armed, not off. PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
zaelu Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 the most important information is that now the two sights are separated in controls You have copilot sight which is "flexible sight" and has these commands: Sight on/off, main lamp, spare lamp, lamp off, sight intensity up and down. These are the old commands. You have new Pilot sight commands: Sight raise/lower (or click on the lever), Lamp on (the hidden switch behind it), sight angle raise or lower (rotary on the left side of it, does the same as the commands in SU25A) and sight lamp intensity (another rotary). In Option Controls I found only the command to raise lower the sight that Shift+M Now works for me too. lorenzoj Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Once you have turned it on and adjusted the reticle etc, when you use Shift + M to raise and lower it, the reticle will stay lit if you don't turn it off
lennycutler Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 So...seems like the developers need to: 1. Rename the keyboard control to Pilot Sight Armed/Safe - to lower or raise the Pilot sight..it now states Pilot Sight on. 2. We need a Keyboard entry for turning on the Pilot Sight Lamp...perhaps it should be labeled Pilot Sight on? 3. We need a Keyboard entry to adjust the brightness level of the Pilot Sight and we need a animated graphical light intensity dial rotary on the sight. Am I right? lorenzoj Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Zooming in on it from the copilots seat will give you a better view of it and the on/off switch in back
Stratos Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 How you move to copilot seat? I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
Mithrandir Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 How you move to copilot seat? The default setting for this is "2", I think.
elcoo Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 I deleted the "cockpit" folder in the mods directory of the huey and then started the "repair dcs". Everything works now.
lennycutler Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Glad, that we now know we can see the rotary for Pilot Sight brightness, best from the Co-Pilots position.....ideally, we will have a keyboard.lua entry for this, that we can use...or map to a Joystick or Throttle button....and same for the Pilot Sight Lamp on/off switch.
