And goal of 100k is what? Barely years wage for one decent programmer.

 

 

Their programmers are based in Russia and if it's anything like my country, that 100K USD pays for more programmers than RRG needs and personal housekeeper for each of them while they're at it.

I think the P-51D was ground breaking for ED, and with all the proper data, that it will be quicker to create new Prop driven aircraft now, but that is not official opinion, just assuming on my part :)

 

How is P-51 related to RRG exactly? I am super confused about this kickstarter. Correct me if I am wrong, but it took at least one year to create the P-51D alone? And now by the September 2014 RRG will create 3-4 more planes at the same level? It just doesn't add up.

I think they added a bunch of new pledge options. I was able to find something more attractive for me.

Originally I got the $100+shippinmg option:

ive pledged 215$, as im not a us citizen, and selected the 200$ reward...

but in the new chart, this option/amount doesnt even exist.

+ in the chart, i dont seem to get alpha access, as this option is only marked from 250 and above.

in the reward descriptions though, you seem to get alpha access from 50$ upwards..

 

+DCS World Dora beta access, in the chart its marked only from 250$ upwards, and in the reward descriptions it says, that youll get it from 100$ and above...

?????

Sweetness! I upped my pledge, will get a P-51 as soon as kickstarter is successful

and the FW190 as soon as that comes to DCS World. Leaves plenty of time for me to crash and burn

I'm mostly disappointed in the stretch goals. I'm sure it's just me, but I just can't get excited in the idea of flying the b17. Is it possible to have other people man the guns, or the bomb sight? Meh. I'm sure all the planes in the stretch goes will be released eventually... Just a bomber would be last on my list of all those awesome other potential options.

It's offering initial variety I suppose. There's already going to be 5 iconic single engine birds to fly and learn inside out. A flyable B17 would offer something completely different.

You should also read the 2nd update.

 

There is no option to edit reward descriptions if it's already been selected. However, if you've backed the project at any of the erroneous levels, you will receive BOTH the rewards in the sidebar and in the main body. We feel it's fair in hindsight; however we are not keeping the dual rewards for the future because this really increases our expenses.

 

As I understand it, when I have pledges 100$ before rewritting the pledges, I now get both rewards (the original + the new combined).

i' thinking about pledging, but dont know what will suit me, as i'm totaly lost here.

 

first of all, my personal interest would be the 109 and the spitfire, along with the fw-190d9.

 

do i understand it correct, that the 109 and the spit are FREE for ALL players after the release? if so, then only the 190 would be of value, but that will most likely cost some 49,99$ at release. so if the first pledge step at 85$ grants me the 190, i dont see a value for me at all, as buying the 190 on release will be cheaper then via kickstarter help.

 

is that correct? please enlighten me...

It would have been good to have something at the obvious stages between $100k and the $375k. Something to aim for. Maybe that's just not possible, I have no idea of the funding required for these projects.
