Reasons to fly WWII aircrafts in DCS World - not DCS WWII Europe 1944

I've came to this realization - I don't have a reason to fly anything WWII-related in DCS world knowing I will have DCS WWII Europe 1944. I mean, both games will share the technology and aircraft-specific assets (sounds etc.) but DCS WWII Europe 1944 will have everything else - the theaters, terrain assets, WWII aircrafts, both AI and player-controlled...

Please drop any info on why anyone would want to. Maybe I don't know something.

Acrobatics teams who would want to fly shows and practice on the Nevada map ? (or Georgia and future maps for that matter)

"What if" situations. You can try MiG-29 vs Mustangs or Zeros as you do not trust Hollywood or Peter Albano. Or fly a Mustang vs helicopter. It's a good tool to check somebody's inferences.

The reason to fly everything that's available in one world is the simple idea that DCS:World was created for.

A toolbox with all the tools right at your fingertips to make whatever you want.

Missions that actually make sense can be created as well as missions that don't make any sense whatsoever and are for pure fun.

It really is as simple as that, to make everything possible for the users and mission creators.

I'll fly missions in WWII 1944 so I dont have to worry about SAMs.. lol.. Just other fighter wings..

I'll fly Demos in DCSW so I can place all the Aircraft I want as Statics.

As long as the airplane modules are checked and rechecked by Yo-Yo I couldn't care less. I can't be in two worlds at once any how.

I love to use the P-51 for my favorite battlefield role: COIN. Shooting up soft skinned vehicles and infantry with HVARs and .50s before my A-10 friends turn up to do the heavy lifting. Rewarding I find it.

I want to have everything at my disposal, so as long as the Normandy map will be compatible with World, i see no reason to have a second install just for the GUI theme.

WW2 planes flew in armies till the 50's, along side with jets and helicopters.

more so, the skyraider for example was put into service in 1946 and served in vietnam until 1975, just 3 years before the F-16 was introduced, and only 1 year before the F-15 :)

but for the main topic:

i like to have all airframes in one mission for personal use, and as others stated before, the whole idea of DCS:World builds on having everything in one game.

anyway, except the freedom to develop everthing on their own, i dont see why a seperate installation is needed, as the mission builder decides what is in a mission and what not. i find it great to have all those diffrent pieces to create whatever i like to have.

for flying jets in DCS:WWII, a lot of airfields had been grass, without a hard runway, wondering how many airfields will be good for jet takeoffs...

I agree with others here. The main reason to fly WWII aircraft in DCS World is so you can have one big sandbox with all of your airplanes in, and mix and match aircraft and terrain as you desire. It's about having the freedom of choice, even if you never choose to use it.

More importantly: will the taxi and parking areas be hard surface? One does not guarantee the other.

Well I know that we need them in DCS:W for the Virtual Aerobatics server as we have already decided to stick with DCS:W for my server.

I think it will mainly be for airshows and freeflight servers that will see a combination of Eurofighters and Spitfires :)
