Cool idea!..maybe two for me because of the detail on the other side

For example, the reverse of the D-Day map contains text and images of the fabulous "model maps" prepared by U.S. and British intelligence to familiarize the soldiers, sailors, and airmen with the topography they would be confronting

Yes the opposite side of the map has some great info on the map making and model making effort for the allies preparing for D-Day. I spoke to Earl, who created this great map, and asked him if he recommended any other research materials to help our cause in creating the most accurate Normandy terrain ever. His biggest suggestion was to try and find the many many stereoscopic aerial photographs that are hidden away somewhere. This would proved some very good 3D data of the area. It would require someone to scour some archives in the UK I presume. Any takers?

Hi Almazi...I think that the flooding looks great you do very good work. The hedgerows, is it still possible to make them more denser with vegetation? As you know the hedgerows were a big part of the German defense, and if its not possible I will understand..thanks

thanks to consider...maybe a small percentage could be done denser, maybe a dense vegetation object could be included for use with the SDK or FMB

Almazi...if you could give us a dozen different trees and shrub types in our objects list, and in the tools be able to place/arrange them as individual objects. Then with the man power of the SDK we could do much work on this. A similar tool as in CLod where you can arrange objects, then save to file, paste from file, then able to place and rotate them as a group.

nice shot BabyJail...very scary looking for a foot solider and a pilot

"fields and winding country lanes sunken between narrow low ridges and banks surmounted by tall thick hedgerows that break the wind but also limit visibility." (from wikipedia)

These are not only trees lined up in a row, but also dense bushes. In a lot of cases, there might even be low "walls" of stones (underneath the bushes) loosely piled up, to mark the borders (property) between fields.

I'll think about it. But I have not done well all the trees. All takes time.
