MFG Crosswind - Review

Mine were in Customs (JFK-New York) for 4 days before delivery.

 

Sounds good, who knows might have them by Christmas but not counting on it. I have waited this long so just a few more days is not going to matter.

 

Time to start reading up on the options and cams now, I want to be prepared and ready to get them going when they do arrive.

If the new pedals were similar to the old ones.. it could work.. but I actually use the ones of the G940 that are black with the pedals on silver.. and the MFG are white.. she surely don't know the difference between both, but she are going to see the difference of color.. so trying to cheat her by that way may finish in the "you're lying me again" discussion.. "do you think I'm fool" ? You can get a week in the inferno if the trick goes bad.. :cry:

I'd recommend a grovelling apology, a bunch of her favorite blooms and an offer to go and see the mother in law on Christmas day!

 

trouble is, actions like that just arouse even more suspicion - face it S-Gerat, you're stuffed - just like the Christmas turkey!

 

As a fallback, you could just try explaining how amazingly good Crosswinds are, and not having them would have made you a very unhappy bunny - but good luck with that one too!

I am always about shooting her straight, anytime I want something nice for myself for the hobby ( something like the Crosswinds), I always tell her upfront before the purchase. But I do have a wonderful wife that always tells me I never spend much on myself, so when I do she always insists I get it.

This man speaks the truth. They are just phenomenal! You find yourself finding reasons to use them just because they feel so good.:thumbup:

The one nit-pick would be this. I wish the bottom (heel part) was a little wider. Sometimes, when I "step" off the rudder after sim'ing , I have to remember to not press down hard on one rudder pedal. Not that it's a big deal at all. Like I'm said, I'm just picking nits. Great gear, for sure.

Yeah, this is literally the only issue with it and is very minor. Also if you like your pedals close(er) together Milan does sell an adapter.

I have screwed mine to the floor. But yes, they're probably the best single peripheral I have ever invested in over 30+ years of flight simming.

Just got my serial no: and tracking number! Wow wee! Can't wait for delivery now...

Mine are still showing in Miami Customs.

 

I just noticed on the tracking it says the following for the 18th:

Parcel in customs clearance:

Consignee information or import data missing

 

And then it was updated later on that day with:

Handled by customs.

 

I know from reading this thread they usually sit a few days in Customs, so don't know if that data missing comment is anything I should be concerned with yet or not.

10/4 thanks , kind of what I thought but now that I know others had the same message I am not going to worry about it.

 

I am afraid though Santa is probably really enjoying the weather in Miami and as it is somewhat colder up here he ain't going to get in too big a hurry!
