Yes that is also a reason to dig deep and see if SPO works with radar in ДОГОН mode (P). Zoraja had his radar in ДОГОН while fighting which he stated.

You're mistaken. The combat manual for the 9-13 aircraft (as you know, a later version than the 9-12) states the following in Russian: When the radar is switched on, it is impossible to use the information from the SPO-15 due to its erroneous and chaotic nature. And this isn't the only source of information prohibiting the use of SPO when the radar is switched on.

My point was more about the role the controller played in each doctrine. The F-4 was a multirole aircraft, and didn't always get AWACS coverage, for instance when escorting, or on a strike mission. The MiG, while it can be shoehorned into doing something other than GCI-guided DCA or CAP, really isn't very well equipped for that. Worth noting that in general, the impulse for developing the RWR system wasn't air combat, it was the SAMs. Which, notably, the Soviets were much less worried about, what with NATO being somewhat deficient in that area. There's a reason SPO-15 features a separate light (that gets absolute priority) and a whole subsystem for detecting what Nike Hercules is doing - you want to know when you're being painted by a nuclear-tipped SAM. Likewise, F-4's RWR was mostly a response to the proliferation of the SA-2, and further development took place to account for superior Soviet SAMs. Early on, RWRs on fighters simply weren't a thing, even when they were expected to face radar guided missiles in air combat. IRL, air combat depended not on locating the missile, but on watching what the launch aircraft is doing. As such, the SPO-15 was mostly concerned with ensuring the MiG didn't blunder into a Nike Herc envelope and get nuked out of the sky. It is adequate for the purpose of countering radar guided SAM threats of the era, not so much for surviving in a modern Fox 3 environment.

На вкус и цвет фломастеры разные. Вам удобно, мне не удобно. Должно быть удобно всем, а лучше как в реале. Буду добиваться от ED добавления команд в инпут. Их должно быть по три на каждую гашетку - убрано/откинуто/нажато. Посмотрите как отлично это реализовано в модуле Мираж Ф1, и полностью соответствует реалу. Плюс есть настройки реалистичности управления гашетками, чтобы всем фломастеры подошли. За это низкий поклон Аргесам как разработчикам. Почему ED скупятся с вариантами инпута мне не понятно.

Как раз сегодня в ютубе увидел, чтоб маркер на захваченную цель показал надо на пушку переключится в первое положение, а потом обратно вернуть.

Мне в целом понравилась. Не хватает разнообразия всяких нестандартов. В качестве эталона живости голосов сейчас можно привести Фантом, в котором ИИ в задней кабине и наземный техник отчебучивают по полной программе.

The DCS_updater.exe checks for other install locations within your registry. AFAICT it checks the following registry keys to find other local DCS installations: HKCU\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Path HKCU\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Path HKCU\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta Server\Path HKCU\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World Server\Path A crude way of getting the updater to find your Steam installation would be to create one of the above registry keys, preferably one that does not yet exist on your system, and to set it to your Steam DCS directory. Haven't tried that, but should theoretically work. Obviously, try at your own risk.

Why? You can just mute or disable the RWR in situations where it doesnt help.

This talk reminds me of the F4. Realtively high thrust compared to same era planes, but also inefficient engines at low/medium altitudes. Otoh you can stretch range a lot by flying optimally and high altitude. So a good range advantage over older interceptors, but the combination of fuel fraction and 'all around' engine efficiency is weaker compared to other jets like the F14B/16/18 or so. Requires more careful flying if you need some range than some other planes. If that means 'can go far' or 'no range' is more of a semantic discussion, and dependant on what you compare it too. -

I just checked to be sure, and the technique in VR are still working with the last version of DCS (I set colormatrix red for cockpit ony). the Alt+F5 is working also. So could you activate "debug messages..." in debug options of VREM activate the colormatrix_for_vrem technique in the 'home' activate "activate reshade techniques in VR" in "Reshade technique in VR" option of VREM save VREM settings relaunch game and go in cockpit for "instant action / Su25T / free flight.." for caucasus click on "capture frame" in debug options of VREM quit game post here reshade.log, DCS_VREM.ini, DCS_VREM_techniques.ini, ReShadePreset.ini that are in the same folder that DCS.exe, as your option.lua file that is config folder in the relevant DCS folder in "saved game" -

После обновления изменилась озвучка вызовов ДЛРО. Такое ощущение что нейросеть озвучивала. Какой то приглушённый старческий голос. И периодически "э-э-э" между фразами. Кому то понравилась новая озвучка? Как по мне старая была естественней. И без этих э-э-э.

I just started playing the A-10 Outpost campaign. Having already played the Apache Outpost campaign. I'm not appreciating the constant advertising of the Apache campaign in the first mission, hopefully that stops in later missions. Mentioning it in the radio txt is one thing .. but popping up the cover art each time is obnoxious. I paid for this campaign .. its not like its freeware.

I also cannot place F-15E/I in ramps 102-105 in that northern section. I can only place F-15's on ramps 100-101 and 106-107. -
The ALR-45 has a more advanced design with a digital processor, a digital threat library and more accurate threat positioning than SPO-15. Can you name another, more realistic one? Just without the F-16.

Hey, I am curious about this configuration of the GBU-24. Currently we have the GBU-24A/B which is a BLU-109 2000lbs penetrator bomb with the GBU-24 guidance units attached to it. There is also the GBU-24/B version which has the regular MK-84 warhead instead of the penetrator. Is this something planned for the future?
