need track replay George shut down timing
Kang replied to lead dispenser's topic in Bugs and Problems
Have just encountered this as well. So, can confirm, did not record a track yet, but glad somebody already reported it. -
Quick update - I tried the same cold start procedure I always do but in a SP mission. No vibration was observed. So it seems it's an MP issue only for me right now. Please see attached track. take-off track test.trk

In other words: the whole safety clause reasoning was only there to placate the customers at the time and, since this is now all confidential, we as consumers have no clue whether or not this applies to any given product. That means we would be wise to assume it does not. One might go as far as saying the whole talk about how the VAEO thing won't ever happen again was simply a lie. In any case, thank you for giving a clearer answer on it.
-
Yeah, it's been there for years. Funny that mod makers took use of it. The UH-60L has it too. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Where is that evidence then? One of the theories from the anti-Razbam crowd is that Razbam was secretly making the Tucano for the FAE, but there is a lot of evidence that it was not at all secret and that ED was or must have been aware. Another theory that Razbam signed a contract without approval by ED is only supported by the leaked stuff and not any 'official' sources. And ED is telling us that we shouldn't believe this evidence. The third theory, if its even worth that name, is that Razbam did some naughty stuff in the past and because of that, we should just assume that Razbam is to blame in this conflict, and no actual evidence is required. Again, it's not about 'the team,' but that people keep making claims that there is lots of evidence, but when you ask them to produce it, they are never able to actually provide sufficient evidence. And no, a mere claim by one of the parties involved in the conflict is not sufficiently objective to decide that this is what must be true. I've never, ever said that Razbam is a great company. It is rather telling that you confabulate things that you think I've claimed.

Great suggestions @Devil 505, though I'd assume ED would want to integrate something like FPS into CA. Cheers!
-
It's not necessarily the money, but the lack of qualified specialists in both programming and aviation including physics, that need to learn an unfamiliar development environment first... and if they exist they maybe already in a contract with aviation industry, military or both, which may or may not result in a conflict of interest, that prevent side-gigs at another developer.
-
Looks like HB reinvented the wheel with their in-sim web browser. This is not the greatest UI I've seen, but maybe we should remind ED it's a thing. They could develop this into something more substantial.

Multi-monitor. Recovering from disconnected display.
ricktoberfest replied to AJ.eightFive's topic in 2D Video Bugs
This sounds similar to what happens in VR when there’s a disconnect. I can see the image on my monitor, but must exit and relaunch the program to get it back in VR. -
[emoji1787] Right, and the DCE is just around the corner. [emoji4] Maybe in 2.10.x [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Yes, correct, I use keybinds for the mixture, which give me just 3 positions for the mixture lever. Thanks for the tip, I will retry it tonight

The list goes like this: Air base Željava, near Bihać. Demolished by crew once enemy forces closed near (fuel and ammo burned for more than 6 months). Air base Slatina, near Priština. 1 entrance hit one side, causing rocks to collapse and cover entrance. Left unrepaired intentionally to give the pretense of being fully destroyed. A the end of the war the Mig-21s exited the on the other side and flew to Batajnica airport near Belgrade. The base was inside intact, but currently not in use. Air base Golubovci, near Podgorica, hit by NATO, blast doors were not closed and Mig-21 filled with parked at entrance cause the burning fuel to spread inside. Demo team G-4s got destroyed in resultling fire. Airbase commander got trailed for this and kicked out (the bombs used by NATO would not penetrate the base if blast doors was closed and buffer zones kept clear of flammable stuff. Today this is a wine cellar. This is the only one you can freely visit without knowing somebody to take you in. Air base Divulje, near Split Also along the coast (e.g. Boka Kotorska) and islands in the Adriatic See.

reported One or more cores reaching 100%
Papamiraculi replied to 104th_Money's topic in Game Performance Bugs
I sometimes get 100% on a single core too. Not Always, and I haven't found a reason why it's not always the case. I suspect DCS just puts too much stuff on the main thread. Running 9800x3d. But I will definitely try this. Thanks for bringing this up. An observation when looking at your screens: it looks like both are actually maxing out a core. Core 9 seems rather maxed out here in this screenshot with your mod engaged, very similar to your second screenshot, which maxes out core 0 with the mod disengaged. Are you sure it doesn't just move the main thread from core 0 to another core? This is what happens if I deactivate the maxed out core while DCS is running. The main thread will just move to a different core and max out that one. -
The default path as created by the game, is: Saved games/missions/campaigns/en

Buoni voli a tutti!

I have been doing the tutorial for IR Mavericks. Everything works fine if I ONLY approach the target from the direction of my initial launch. If I try approaching from ANY other direction, the IR Mavs act as if the keys to slew the seeker are backwards and will not lock targets. I have tried changing master mode selecting and unselecting missiles etc but nothing fixes it. Any suggestions?

Hi Eduardo, The base score of 50 is a good idea, this is my mistake. I set the skip score to 10, which is achieved by simply starting a mission. I thought that was enough (campaign newbie here). About your "problem", your brakes are set? You use buttons for the mixture, I was using an axis. I will check the values tomorrow morning. But during testing, this problem was usually caused by the brakes not being set. Cheers and thanks for the kind words Carsten

I'm running DCS at a total resolution of 11904x1800 to accommodate 3x 2560x1440 monitors for the main view, plus 5 other USB displays for exported DDI's, RWR and IFEI. This setup has been stable since January and I have to start by commending ED for building DCS in such a way that this is even possible because it has been awesome flying the Hornet this way. Unfortunately, I've started to have issues with USB stability that I'm having trouble resolving. At seemingly random intervals, all of my USB devices will drop offline for about 10 seconds before reconnecting. This is a big problem when running a multi-monitor setup with USB displays, because it seems like when the game can no longer render to those displays, it falls back to rendering the entire render target to a single monitor. So in my case, 11904x1800 gets squashed onto a single 2560x1440, and there's no way to "maximize" the game after the USB displays reconnect. Here's a snippet from dcs.log when this happens: 2025-08-07 07:33:17.502 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [HID] HID Keyboard Device 2025-08-07 07:33:17.647 WARNING LOG (9680): 1 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2025-08-07 07:33:17.647 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [HID] HID-compliant mouse 2025-08-07 07:33:17.798 WARNING LOG (9680): 1 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2025-08-07 07:33:17.798 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [HID] HID-compliant consumer control device 2025-08-07 07:33:17.864 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [HID] HID-compliant system controller 2025-08-07 07:33:18.011 WARNING LOG (9680): 1 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2025-08-07 07:33:18.011 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [HID] HID-compliant consumer control device 2025-08-07 07:33:18.081 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [HID] HID-compliant vendor-defined device 2025-08-07 07:33:18.211 WARNING WORLD (Main): ModelTimeQuantizer: ANTIFREEZE ENABLED 2025-08-07 07:42:35.428 WARNING WORLD (Main): ModelTimeQuantizer: SAME MODEL TIME 2025-08-07 10:05:40.706 WARNING LOG (9680): 20 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2025-08-07 10:05:40.706 INFO APP (Main): wcTanker::onEvent:5 2025-08-07 10:05:40.706 INFO EDCORE (Main): (wcTanker::Channel)enterToState_:6 2025-08-07 10:05:40.706 INFO EDCORE (Main): (wcTanker)enterToState_:3 2025-08-07 10:34:09.139 WARNING WORLD (Main): ModelTimeQuantizer: SAME MODEL TIME 2025-08-07 14:15:23.819 WARNING LOG (9680): 31 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2025-08-07 14:15:23.819 INFO DXGUI_WIN_ADAPTER (Main): resize main window to [2560, 1440] 2025-08-07 14:15:24.584 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [DISPLAY] @System32\drivers\dxgkrnl.sys,#303;Generic Monitor (%1);(DisplayLink) 2025-08-07 14:15:25.022 WARNING LOG (9680): 2 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2025-08-07 14:15:25.022 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [USB] Racer-Tech USB Display Device 2025-08-07 14:15:25.585 WARNING LOG (9680): 5 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2025-08-07 14:15:25.585 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [HID] HID-compliant touch screen 2025-08-07 14:15:25.695 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [HID] Microsoft Input Configuration Device 2025-08-07 14:15:25.818 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [HID] HID-compliant vendor-defined device 2025-08-07 14:15:26.154 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [HID] HID-compliant mouse 2025-08-07 14:15:26.511 WARNING LOG (9680): 1 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2025-08-07 14:15:26.511 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [USB] USB Composite Device 2025-08-07 14:15:26.618 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [USB] USB Composite Device 2025-08-07 14:15:26.761 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [USB] USB Serial Device (COM5) 2025-08-07 14:15:27.168 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [USB] USB Serial Device (COM5) 2025-08-07 14:15:27.276 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [USB] USB Composite Device 2025-08-07 14:15:27.383 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [USB] Racer-Tech USB Display Device 2025-08-07 14:15:28.154 WARNING LOG (9680): 5 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2025-08-07 14:15:28.154 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [DISPLAY] @System32\drivers\dxgkrnl.sys,#303;Generic Monitor (%1);(DisplayLink) 2025-08-07 14:15:28.397 WARNING LOG (9680): 2 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2025-08-07 14:15:28.397 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [USB] USB Composite Device 2025-08-07 14:15:28.484 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [HID] HID-compliant touch screen 2025-08-07 14:15:28.566 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [HID] HID-compliant vendor-defined device 2025-08-07 14:15:28.654 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [HID] Microsoft Input Configuration Device 2025-08-07 14:15:28.753 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [HID] HID-compliant mouse When DCS detects the disconnected display it resizes the main window: 2025-08-07 14:15:23.819 INFO DXGUI_WIN_ADAPTER (Main): resize main window to [2560, 1440] DCS also detects when the display device reconnects: 2025-08-07 14:15:28.154 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [DISPLAY] @System32\drivers\dxgkrnl.sys,#303;Generic Monitor (%1);(DisplayLink) Unfortunately there's no subsequent attempt to resize the main window back to the original resolution when the new display is detected. Thanks!
