  2. Dear Eagle Dynamics Team, we propose adding a new set of Static Objects to simulate provisional runways for improvised airfields and highway operations. Why: Current FARPs are too small or only for helicopters. Using LHD decks or other statics as “runways” creates seams and is not intended. Mission designers want to create realistic FOBs, highway strips, and field airbases, as used in Sweden, Finland, or Cold War Germany. Proposal: Modular runway slabs in lengths (250–1500 m). Neutral asphalt/concrete look, seamless when placed in sequence. Automatic vegetation clearing, like FARPs. Optional variants: with/without markings, plus edge lights. Benefits: Greater flexibility for Cold War and modern scenarios. Realistic STOL and dispersal operations (A-10, Viggen, Harrier, future Gripen).   3. Hi, ich hab mich in den letzen Wochen in die F18 eingearbeitet, aber was ich aber immer noch suche, ist ein Uhr im Cockpit. Auch Chucks Guide brachte keine Erleuchtung. In der F16 gibt´s eine analoge Uhr und die Zeit einblendbar im HUD, in der F14 gibt´s eine analoge Uhr. Gibt´s in der F18 keine? Ist halt blöd bei komplexen Missionen mit Push time usw.

  5. Hey TC, Attempting to install "VS-30 AA" from the "S-3B Viking Skin Pack Version 1.6 - updated" D/L, into a Saved Games/Liveries/s-3b tanker folder. Get the name in the Liveries option window, but no livery. Is this still the problem? Please advise. Bowie
  6. AIRBOSS_TTI_SP.lua Can you try inserting this airboss lua file in? that might solve the issue, the way the check for airboss_enable works is kind of whack in the previous one. TTI_DatabaseSpawning_Red_Air_SP.luainsert this file into your miz, and try using "-create red_transport_tu95ms"

  8. Hi Mark! Good to see you back. What kind of mission was it? This feature is in the works, and does no behave like you would a "Save game" feature in any type of other game like adventure, FPS or RTS. It really depends of what you want it to do, right now. It absolutely does not work for DLC campaigns ie. I believe this is a feature they want to kindle and grow for the upcoming Dynamic Campaign Engine. Not sure if it will ever work for DLC campaigns.   9. You always have a risk, including of messing up the install. If you spend less in the first place, then you have money left over for a possible replacement. I think that the idea that if you spend a lot, you will avoid risk, is a bad take. IMO, the best way is to keep a financial reserve (in general, not just for PC stuff), so you can take a hit. This goes for everyone except the most poor or the most rich.
  10. I was flying an F-18 from Rammstein to Berlin with a flight above Frankfurt. Low altitude from Rammstein to Frankfurt and high altitude after Frankfurt. When I climbed to the high altitude, I had long and severe freezes approaching the clouds. ( no preset from ED or from yours, Base:5326 meters, Thickness 6350 meters, density 3, no rain, 8:00AM local time, 15 May, bloom activated.) I have a 5080 and 64Go RAM, my DCS preload radius is set to 90800 and my Meta Quest 3 is set to 40704 X 2728, 72Hz refresh rate, pixels X1.3.

  12. supplementary explanation. In 2.9.18.12899, Mission #5 Professionals Study Logistics finished normally, although Debrief.log grew large (around 80 MB). In 2.9.19.13478, the same mission fails to finish properly due to excessive growth of Debrief.log. The mission ends with an error and I cannot proceed in the campaign. Steps to reproduce: Start the Viggen Wrath of Thunder Mission #5 “Professionals Study Logistics.” Play normally until mission end (landing / mission completion). On 2.9.19.13478, the mission does not conclude correctly and Debrief.log grows excessively, leading to a debrief error and campaign progression failure. Expected behavior: The mission should end and show the debriefing screen. Debrief.log should remain within a reasonable size. Observed behavior: On 2.9.19.13478, Mission #5 does not end correctly (debrief error). Debrief.log grows far larger than in 2.9.18 (80 MB), preventing campaign progression. Additional info: Rolling back to 2.9.18.12899 allows Mission #5 to finish normally (still ~80 MB Debrief.log, but no error).   13. Keep in mind that first image is always WHOT (First TV mode). If this is what you meant then it is OK.

  18. Hi all, me again (LOL) The learning journey continues. Eventhough it was super cool to reach 72 FPS in multiplayer, some more testing sadly showed that my framrate could drop over cities, lots of trees etc. But then I found this video below, basically he shows how to "lock in the frame rate" for a smoother framerate. So I did some new adjustments in Virtual Desktop (VD): VR Bitrate set to 150 Mbps Sharpening set to 30% VR Framerate set to 90 FPS Frame Rate set to 90 FPS Desktop Bitrate set to 90 Mbps DCS Settings locking frame rate: set to 90 FPS Syncronos Spacewarp - Always Enabled And in VD Streamer I unchecked -> Adjust Bitrate. I did a playtest on 4YA Casacus PVE Server with 30 players on server, and my FPS was "locked in" 45 FPS . The test included a doghfight against a JF-17 and then I had to bail out (out of missiles) with a high speed run (low level between mountains). This play session was much longer then my previous test (posted above) and eventhough I did low level flight at Mach:1 over cities the framrate was 45 all the time. Next up is try to increase the values above to 100 with a new target of 50 FPS.

  20. I'm sorry to wake an old post, but I'm a VR newbie and currently having trouble with the game with my Pico 4 Ultra. After I run the bat file DCS starts but I can see there are 2-3 different rendered images on the goggles. On my monitor everything seems great, but in VR There are at least 2 different plane (geometrical plane). One of them right in front (which is the one I want and the other one is on the right side of both goggle. Can anyone help me out with this?

  22. Thanks for the advice it is much appreciated I will do a test tuning up VD to Ultra/Godlike. QP £300-400 is currently out of my budget I am afraid. When I did my testing with 72 FPS post above, I noticed some framedrops (cities, trees etc), now it runs much smoother. I might try to crank all values above up to 100 to get a stable 50 FPS + set VD to Ultra/High, I do feel its moving in the right direction, very fun stuff to learn about

  24. Loving the great VR visuals flying mostly low level in the Huey and some Chinook. Also racing the free Mustang TF-51D and the Phantom is great fun in VR. Happy landings, Talisman
  25. In addition, if you have Simplified Flight Model turned on in the Options/Gameplay/Difficulties category, trim will not work on some of the warbirds.
  26. The fact that it destroys using real tactics is the real killer here. It's insane. Sims have been handling this just find for over 20 years. Why can't DCS, in development over a decade, NOT handle this? Devs? Crickets? "Too hard" is not an answer unless your devs got Fs in school. This is unacceptable and totally breaks properly playing virtual war. May as well just dogfight. SAMs are also idiots unless you use scripting, YET AGAIN made by users. Users have arguably advanced DCS more than the devs have.
  27. ED has no talk nothing about a WW2 FC, and no into your plans. On fact, I dont like that convert on a WT..... has better continue building FF modules. and more and more teams enter into DCS. On fact has many "size" to expand WW2: Missing teams centred on WTO size and missing war teathers as mediterranean and east front maps (By Ugra media / Orbx / OnReTech on a future), has only matter of time. Missing a real UK 3rd party team to build Commonweal WW2 stuff, as others centred on Germany, Italy, France, etc. Stuff A expansion on WW2 Assets pack as content with the PTO to improve WTO, and more on others teathers (ED show a T-34 on 2025 and Beyond video). Remember, build modules has no a "balance", has a problem about the available info and other stuff to make cool modules.
